How to study ICM ranges

It’s indeed difficult to have good ranges for every situation, because every situation is different and it’s also depends what kind of SNG you are playing and in with phase of the SNG we are to make a good range for it. I use software like Holdem Resources calculator (14 days trial version ant the best software for STT SNG’s and final tables) or ICMIZER (3 calculations per day for free and the best tool for MTT SNG’s) to check my pushing ranges afterwards to improve my game.

ICMIZER is fantastic. I use it several times a week. I have a full sub which includes a training mode which helps players to learn correct push/call ranges. It really is a class piece of software. Support is good also, I always receive prompt and detailed replies to the several questions I have had.

For beginners Lee Nelsons "Let´s play poker" could be a good help. The author divides the hands in 8 categories and gives a rough estimate of which hand you can push/call in a certain situation. Learn the hand categories by heart and then you can calculate with ICMizer or NASH calculator more precisely.

For me the book was a great help to get startet and to have a rough idea about +EV decisions.

Ive been trying Icmizer with the 3 free calculations per day, seems very nice and helpful. I'm thinking of getting a subscription.
