Is an A3s enough to call here? Getting short and I figured opponent can push with any KT, QJ,... against which Ax is good.

Poker Stars $1.32+$0.18 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t150/t300 Blinds + t25 - 3 players

SB: t8979 M = 17.10
Hero (BB): t2758 M = 5.25
BTN: t1763 M = 3.36

Pre Flop: (t525) Hero is BB with 3 :spade: A :spade:
BTN raises to t1738 all in, 1 fold, Hero calls t1438

Flop: (t3701) 8 :club: K :diamond: 2 :diamond: (2 players - 1 is all in)

Turn: (t3701) 6 :club: (2 players - 1 is all in)

River: (t3701) Q :club: (2 players - 1 is all in)

If villain has shown that he is ICM-literate and his is pushing his Nash Range - approx 58% then your A3s is a clear call.
It important though to evaluate if villain is having a much tighter range which narrows down the hands we call with or even an any-two range which makes your call even easier.

For example note after this hand he will be on the BB with a much smaller - almost non existent FE than now so that could be a hint of a wide range.

It looks like a fine call indeed with A3s based on the info you gave here and he should push pretty wide what natural allready mentions here.

Good call, you are ahead of most of the hands he pushes. Even if you bust you have 3bb left to play, where you can blind push the next hand win 35% of times with any two. Also I think 3bb is enough to get you just a little bit of fold equity.

The next hand youre on the BTN shoving into the BS in the BB so you will not have any FE with 3BB

Only against tight players that don’t know the calling ranges you have some fold equity. I wouldn’t be surprise with average $1,50 STT players they will still fold some hands against a 3bb push.

Even with a 30BB stack?
