Looking at my old hand histories I noticed this hand and wondered if this is a mistake. I`m getting 4:1 for this call and meph1to after the call is only left with 500 chips, so I could shove and apply some bubble pressure. Thoughts ?

Looks like a fold to me, yes youre getting great odds but its a complete junk hand, and the 2 shorter stacks are clashing so even if the current SS doesnt bust meph1 will be down to under 2BB

I don’t think it’s a bad fold ether and if you would play it you need to call the all-inn of the SB as well post-flop with not much chips left for him and it’s possible he’s trapping here as well. Otherwise he would stack off right away I think.

I dont think the SB is ever folding pre if you shove. He has already committed over half his stack so it would be a crazy play to call the UTG shove & fold to your reshove

Hey slippyjim, thanks for the replies :)
He could also fold considering its a bubble play and he has a chance to get in the money if he folds, but I guess it depends on the player, where notes could be more valuable than stats.

Risk premium! Altough you get 4:1: This is the bubble! And J3o is not a really strong hand, with about 33% equity against a random hand. J3o is not worth to risk your chips with it, the chips you have are more worth than the chips you win. You´re risking your tourney equity with junk? Look: There are two shorties at the table, both have to push all in soon and one of them will bust sooner or a bit later. No reason to risk chips!

I see what you are thinking, but I just dont think he is ever folding after hes already put so much of his stack in the middle
He's put 60% of his stack in and if you shoved he would be getting very good odds to put the rest in
If he had more chips, a shove from you may well get him to fold, but even then I dont think I risk it with J3o
