Hey people,

I'm not new here and a registered member for a couple of years now, but I've never been participating in any way and was only a quiet spectator. Once I bought into gold or platinum status to view more videos and articles, that's all.
I am introducing myself at this point because I now have an opportunity to spend all my time and energy to play poker for a while and I think it won't hurt if I start to participate here and make some friends maybe.

I've been playing online poker for some years now and I would consider myself an experienced MTT player, always played confident and profitable. I hope to improve as much as I can and play to my full potential, maybe get staked at some point and really get going, but as for now... just hello everybody. : )

If nobody replies, I guess I'll just reply to myself.

Hello gelevr,

Welcome back to the pokerstrategy.com forums :f_drink:
Apologies for the late reply. :fouet:

Are you going to continue with MTT or try a new format?
We should be able to link you to some strategy and/or videos specific to what your looking play. :f_thumbsup:
Have you seen our bankroll challenge yet?

I look forward to reading how you are getting on and your successes.

My regards

Matt

Thank you,

no need to apologize or punish yourself Instead, maybe I deserve a little punish since I was so quiet for such a long time. :fouet:

Have you thought about starting a blog on the Learning to Win thread? By documenting your progress and career you will increase both your motivation and endurance, as well discussing tricky spots with other members.

I look forward to hopefully reading how you get on and future successes :f_drink:

Good luck at the tables.

Matt

Thanks again guys for welcoming me with such warmth, I appreciate it. : )

I'll look around and will check that thread out, seems like a good idea. I'm studying most of the time these days.
And also I'm looking into the idea to find a way to get staked somehow in the future. To be honest it's one of the reasons why I try to be more active here, obviously.
I had no idea about the sheer magnitude of that business. Any advice from you guys, before I make my first step into that direction?

My advice is to follow some blogs of other members who are already being staked. The more you can prove your results and successes the better the chance you will be staked. It also brings confidence to the people looking to stake you.

What room are you on? During the last get weeks I have been experimenting with playing at night on stars. The fields are smaller and easier to beat.

I'm all over the place, but toughest times I always have on Pokerstars. Those big fields and variance (so much punish) are killing me, probably a good idea like as you mention, later at night. See you there maybe : )

I look forward to reading how you get on with the night grind. Also not sure if you have seen this in our news. Pokerstrategy is hosting the Weekend Series of Poker II with lots of prizes up for grabs. Including a $10 bounty on my head for the player who knocks me out. Hopefully we see you there. :f_thumbsup:
