I mean he min raises, but he did this nearly every hand he played. So with 11BB left was this a correct or was it too loose?

Against a loose aggressive player, I wouldn’t mind to shove here with 88. Too bad it didn’t work out this time.

The thing with this middle pocket pairs is that you're flipping most of the time. If you push from EP you are going to get called by overs or a better pair almost always. Sometimes you'll have to make this moves to stay alive.
About a week ago I called a 15 bb all-in (I had 28 bb) with the Hellmuth's 9s and as expected we flipped, and he won.
I don't like big flips, but ironically winning in those situations will make you win the tournament.
If your read is right about him min raising every time, I would also shove anytime here
