AK river decision in 4b pot

Very unfortunate flop tbh, having a backdoor to the flush it's ok to shoot a cbet.

Firstly, I don't think we should always 4bet AK in this situation, especially when we suspect that the opponent is not on the aggressive side. We can call and play in position with a very good hand. When he called a 4bet, I think Qx is a good part of his range (AQ, KQ, even QQ sometimes), but with backdoors and overcards, I think it's ok to stab OTF. Maybe size could be even smaller (1/3). The cbet might also be a value/protection bet, who knows. I also think that checking back is fine in this situation because we don't have alot of fold equity vs better hands and I'm not affraid of being bluffed on later streets (they won't bluff alot). We can go either way OTF imo. I agree with checking the turn back. When he shoved the river, my experience says it's a clear fold vs unknown. We will lose alot of money with a call with TP or worse on average. Yes, it's tempting to call and we will have the best hand from time to time, but we should look the big picture and fold. At least it's my opinion.

As we do not have much FE on flop, I prefer to xb.
As played we can safely fold on river and move on.

I also wouldn´t 4bet this preflop. As played I think we have fine check OTF. Calling the river is out of the question imo.

I think the river is a fold as played. You block the As so that takes away alot of weaker value hands he could do this with (doubtful he value shoves AJss or whatever). Also, assuming the player can turn something like 77 into a bluff seems a bit much. At these limits, this is probably just a fold.

4b isn't terrible I don't think. 135bb effective can't be all that bad. That said we are starting to get to the realms now where 4b isn't great. So if 4b is OK then what's better? Probably flat IP dominating his range makes a lot of sense.

When he flats he most likely has a bunch of suited crap, TT JJ (maybe QQ/AK) KQs (maybe KQo) AQo.

I bet flop probably 15/16bb as I would my entire range here. I don't think it's necessary to bet so big but we probably want to bet. I also chk behind this turn. River is so tough because we don't know much about his range PF. Fold/Call probably close in reality. But seeing as we can have Qx here aswell as AA and seeing as we have to assume villain is straight forward until otherwise I think we can probably find the fold. Assuming he is straight forward he checks underpairs, checks Ax that he called and bets Qx and a few suited things (problem is we don't know how many he has)

So yeah find a fold in this particular scenario. After seeing the result though I make a note and call here in future. (Calling 4b with Q7s pre means that he's gonna probably have more bluffs here than value hands)
