OTR flush hit vs overpair

I find that in these lower buy in's in the early stages, when someone over shoves the river like this its because they have the nuts.

I have called these in the past thinking they were big bluffs, from poor players wanting to push me off the hand, but mostly it is because they want to get paid, and I got busted out.

In the early stages it is something that I have started doing, and you'd be surprised how often you are called, its something that shouldn't be +ve but certainly is.

Like when you flop a full house, Check back the flop and turn and shove on the river, you'll be called with things like middle pair because they thought you had nothing and shoved a big bluff. My giving them 2 free cards you give them a chance to make a top pair/middle pair hand that they can talk themselves into calling your bluff with, or play normal and with nuts just shove the river.

Try it sometime and you will be surprised.

Readless,... I don't see a lot of hands we beat that would justify his play.

There is not one hand that justifies his play here, he tries to be polarising but a onepair hand should never really be calling the river here. We also don't block anything so a fold is perfectly fine here. I would bet the river here for value though to get value from some onepair hands that want to pay off, when you get raised, you can be dead sure he isn't bluffing here ever and you can fold and be happy about it. I can understand why something in your mind still believes he's bluffing here but that is caused because you checked river here.

Yeah, I have surely called off shit like this before and gotten busted. I'll be sure to try that line out when I get a chance, it'll be fun to see what happens!

Thanks alot for the analysis. You kinda nailed it I feel like. When I check to him I'm really asking him to rep the flush and turn his whole range into a bluffshove.
I'll be betting on the smaller side and folding to a reshove in the future. With that line we'll be making the bluffshove very doubtful and should get a more honest response from the villain.
