i'm on a small downswing; the peak had been sth around -20 BIs, but it got a bit better since then. it brought both good and bad things to me... at times i played my best poker ever, thinking about lots of range vs range stuff ingame and analyzing later. these things were absent in autumn, when i played too autopilotish at times, because the results were so good and everything went smooth. OTOH, the swing also brought up some mindset issues, especially checking the cashier a bit too often once again.
i've got 64 hours in january so far, which is pretty good considering that i worked only 9 or 10 days. it's great that i started to write down the hours right after the session. before, i used to do it at the end of the day, so i spent the day thinking how many hours did i work today, whether it was enough, whether i should try harder etc. that oftentimes lead to beating myself up for not working hard enough. this new way of counting the hours gives me a valuable balance - it motivates me, but i don't feel guilty when i don't work enough. i don't have any big procrastinating issues, so the time not spent on poker is usually spent on sth meaningful.
i'm thinking about prolonging my daily meditation sessions after a long time. ok, i don't meditate every every day - maybe 3 out of 4 days in fact. until now, i've been doing 15min a day, but a few days ago i randomly decided to do two 15min sessions in one day and the second session was awesome. therefore i decided to try to do 2x10min a day.
final thing, i recommend a travel documentary called Chasing bubbles:
), it seems to be rly useful; the only problem are my hip joints - because of them i cannot stand by the table for too long. but anyway, for just 200 euro, it's a good investment.
