I'll advise a macbook pro 15" from 2015 Battery life is impressive. You can get them sealed, or referred very cheap. They have native clients for poker stars and 888 and you can always install windows flawlessly in a partition through official apple's tool bootcamp.
And I can confirm that poker tracker 4 (native) and equilab (in wine) works nice!
I have been playing on a 15.6' screen for 2 years, for 6 tables on 888 poker it's completely enough.

I have a desktop pc, but the reason I play on the laptop is cuz I sit in the office at a desk all day and its simply better for my right arm to use the touch pad instead of a mouse, which I already use at work anyway, so its just about having some healthy balance and avoiding tennis arm issues. (god I feel old) haha:f_thumbsup:
Never spend more then around 600 for a laptop if it's main use is poker. Make sure you have a good HDMI and buy a kickass huge monitor (150-200 should do it) to go with it. External mouse and keyboard (keyboard 10€ mouse 50€) and you're good to go both in the comfort of your home and while traveling.
If you're only going to use the laptop for playing poker games then you don't have to purchase an incredibly powerful and expensive one. An average laptop will be good because poker applications don't consume too many resources as other programs may use (e.g. games). 4 GB of RAM, some regular dual core processor even 1.2 or the like will work nicely for running HEM2 and poker applications. I love the mobility of using a laptop and lounging on my couch waiting for the hands. My brother who is a big poker fan prefers a desktop. YMMV.

A 2014 laptop can run ppkerstars client and pokertracker flawlessly
