Hi all

I think this is relatively standard but just want to see what people might have done differently. We only have 22 hands on this guy, 30/15 with 0 3bet. I think pre is standard call because of how deep we are and implied odds from his 4bet. Flop we call to see if he slows down w/AK, then turn I decide to fold as I feel he has AA/KK way more than AK/AQ etc, and to also avoid marginal spot of calling down. Afterwards i start to think maybe we should just fold flop if we intend on folding turn anyway, to minimise the loss - There is maybe also the possibility that he is just a whale and was betting JJ :f_rolleyes:

We don't know if villain is super tight so we can assume JJ+, AK, AQs to level. He 1/2 psb both OTF, OTT. Of course your hand doesn't improve and will not buy It's a 4 bet pot. I'd not lay down my hand so easily: AK, JJ is very likely to double barrel and the fact you are deep applies if you are jammed OTR and you are not playing stacks with top pair.

So I'd say go to the river and check or call a small bet OTR.

Hey man thanks for the input. However I think the problem with calling OTT is that we do not get to choose how much villain bets OTR. If we call turn, the pot is $30 and we have $20 behind. Even if villain doesn't jam, a river bet is still huge OTR in relation to pot size and at least I imagine we have to call a whole BI while unsure on our hand. As far as putting him on a range of JJ+... I don't think we can do this with no hands on him. Most players are not 4betting JJ anyway so we would need something to suggest that he is over aggressive at the very least, and with him have 0 3b in the small hands we have, I don't think including JJ is entirely accurate. Thanks for the input though, as I said, I am interested to see what others would do

You are welcome, but think about it like this if you are not going to call at least two barrels. Why did you call pre? You are not going to find flops much safer than this!
Well looking at the huge sizings pre, we can say he is with KK+.
Maybe against unknown villain is a fold pre as played.

Now, you are both very deep so 5b is not my choice. Call and be cautious postflop.

i would also only call preflop as you are oop and very deep. most of the time you have to guess oop for a lot of money if you are still ahead.

I like the fold OTT. I don´t see AK double barreling them often enough. It´s still NL10, you will face KK, AA mostly :).
