Hero bets 25 BB, MP calls 25 BB

River: (100 BB, 2 players) 9♣
Hero checks, MP bets 55.15 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 55.15 BB,

I don't like my river call anymore, but I would like tonnow how do you play the turn in such a situation?
Would c/c be better, because I would like to see the showdown?

There was a silimar hand i the sng forum today if you want to check it out: https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=2644748#post2644748

I would be asking myself if he ever calls the turn with worse than TP. Which hands can you get value from here? Maybe 88-JJ. Also, there aren't alot of better hands that will fold here. On the other hand, how many 7's are really in his opening range from MP? I would probably c/c to give him the opportunity to bluff and control the pot, though I'm really not sure what is right here.

Beware that a STT SNG and a cash game are complete different games. I think you could get some value against some players on the turn, but it’s on the thin side for sure.

Also, 3betting against a tight player is loose I think without fold to 3bet stats. I would most likely call and her-evaluate the flop. This way you keep the ranges some wider and you don’t play a big pot out of position.

As played I would consider making a thin value on the turn, but checking behind for pot control seems fine as well. The river is as played an easy fold. I don’t think he will shove with worse and the backdoor flush draw came as well.

Cheers,

3bet's whatever, it's fine but I'd call like 99% of the time, squeeze hands that have way more live equity especially vs a tight guy
(you're not happy at all when you get called as he should flat AK even)

Postflop you want to either check flop
but then definitely turn he's still more likely to have 76s A7s than you and you don't bluff often here I assume, there's not that much you get value out of so check call turn check fold river sounds fine to me

Also flop sizing is debatable, I think going smaller will be good for you hand and your range overall when you do bet

Pre I think squeezing is ok but your sizing looks too small. Just calling isn't probably bad either.
About postflop, I agree with LemOn. Checking flop seems reasonable and as played I like xc turn more. And your flop cbet size is too big. The board is dry and your range is value heavy here so you can bet smaller.

AQ is a hand you want to play small pots with, whether you hit or not - especially OOP. Just call preflop.

As played, the only hands without a pair that could reasonably call the flop bet are suited A with a backdoor. The rest of his range has at least a pair. Whether he calls one more bet with that pair, I don't know. Whether he bluffs with anything if you check, I don't know. Bet turn and check-call turn are both fine. Betting turn buys you some assurance against getting bluffed out. Thus river, as played, is a fold. Besides, the only possible draw got there. Checking turn is probably the best play against a tight player (who will not call more with a pair, but might make a single stab). The problem with checking is (as usual) that you are capped an subject to be barreled out by an innovative player.

Call preflop, u have much better hands to squeeze with.

Readless bet flop, ch/call turn, ch/fold river seems reasonable.

I am with you as well. I think pre flop the call might be the better option. In some cases I do like squeezing with AQo. But in that case, I would make it about 4.5x the open raise.

I don't know, what MP is calling your 3bet here. Maybe 99-JJ, some suited aces and some suited broadways. In some cases he might be just calling your 3bet with QQ+. We do quite fine against this range in my opinion. I would consider betting a bit more in this spot.

On the turn it is a bit tricky. What is he calling with pre flop and on the flop. Suited hands might have picked up the flush draw. So when we look at his range, we will see, that the paired board does not change the situation upside down. If he had a set on the flop, he is still beating us. If he had mid pair on the flop, we are still beating him. If he had suited broadways, we are still beating him. If he had the unlikely overpair on the flop, he is still beating us. In my opinion we are either far ahead or far behind. I would consider check-call the turn as long as he does not bet too much. I admit there are reasons for betting like protection against the flush draw, but I do not like to play a huge pot with TP against such a tight player.

As played I would check-fold the river.

In this particular situation where we have a tight opener and a loose caller it is ok to squeeze AQo. Note that we will be IP to the loose caller postflop.
On flop we can bet or xc.
River is a xf.
