I enjoy poker, I played it with friends, and on the facebook app, and joined the society at uni. But I started playing live cash poker all summer in poker rooms, and losing 15kish. My biggest problem is my mentality. I feel bad taking others' money, I have enough myself, but playing not for money is boring, it's a weird paradox. I'm only 19, but I've realised what I wanna do. Play good tournaments where it's more relaxed, and I can enjoy myself. And play roulette poker. All in blind. My question is where can I find good places to flip blind for money. Sky bet offer roulette, but no higher than £55. I want to be flipping blind for £2,000+, i'm happy to pay a £20 1% commission charge if a site offers that. And live, where I can I find people who wanna flip too. I've had enough of playing shit games like blackjack and roulette, with a rigged house edge, and giving money to a stupid betting company. I want to gamble, fun, and fairly, against other people. But all my uni friends are poor, I know no poker players or guys who would even gamble for a few hundred versus me. Quite a weird request, but if you know any sites, live places, where I could basically flip and go all in blind roulette poker versus other people at high stakes please let me know.
Cheers in advance Rahim
Welcome to this forum, Rahim ![]()
I think you'll have a high chance of finding someone to flip with you for a commission (people normally don't do it for free because they want some insurance against the variance) if you post in the High Stakes PLO Beats, Brags and Variance Thread on the 2+2 forums that you want to flip for high stakes.
The thing is that you're not alone in this. There's a well-known Brazilian PLO player Marcelo Freire, known as 'urubu111' at PokerStars and as 'urubu222' on 2+2, who also likes to flip from time to time (though he normally plays PLO for a living and is a massively winning player), and many high stake players have gladly sat to flip with him. He's so famous that Pokerstrategy once released an article about him.
So you can even simply post in the 2+2 HS PLO forum that you want to flip like urubu, and you'll be understood and probably find someone to flip with. Note, though, that you might need to gain some credibility in the poker community first, or pay higher commissions for your first flips, or flip for lower stakes at the start, or send your opponent a security deposit that he'll return once he sees that you're honest, because flips are set up manually (people sit at a normal online NL / PLO table where the fold button is available) so your opponent has to trust that you're indeed intending to go all-in with 100% of your hands.
Maybe urubu himself will agree to flip with you (I'm not sure if he's still around the forums nowadays), then you won't even have to pay him a commission, you'll just be paying a small amount of rake to PokerStars but not to each other.
I think the standard going rate for flips is in the ballpark of 5%. So you want to flip for 1k$ each, for a total pot of 2k$, you need to pay 50$ to the guy you're flipping against. If you want to do heads up flips, with 5% vig. You can PM me.

If he finds a very high stake player, though, he might negotiate a smaller rate because HS players usually don't have such big edges in their usual games and will gladly take the opportunity to earn $ by mindless flipping that doesn't require advanced strategy.
In urubu's case, the vig was definitely 1%, perhaps because he's very reputable.
Hi Tony cheers for the reply, so I need to first make a poker-stars account, then join the 2+2 HS PLO forum?
Is this the correct link to the forum? http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/38/small-stakes-pl-omaha/
Start a new thread saying I'd like to flip against other people and hopefully get some private messages in response.
Then on poker stars we'd be able to both buy into a super turbo high stakes game but we'd both have to mutually agree to go all in on the first hand? There isn't actually a game type that actively allows that.
I'd be happy either paying 1% commission to the site, or to the guy I'm flipping against, so for a 5k flip £50, that gives me much better odds than roulette and I'd much rather lose money to another person than a stupid company. I'm not flipping for anything over 3% commission though I may as well play American roulette for that.
Would the flips be PLO hands or Holdem?
Also do you know if there's a live scene where this type of gambling occurs. Player on player gambling. In the form of all in blind poker hands, or simply flipping coins for huge amounts of money. I'm based in London, but my problem is all my student friends have no money.
Cheers for the feedback!
I just started a forum, do you think I've got any chance of finding anyone who'll just happily flip 50/50 with no commission or will everyone at the high stakes I'm looking to flip with want some sort of % edge?
Cheers, Rahim
Maybe you could involve a well known and respected third party to act as an escrow if you don't want to pay a commission

I'd be happy to even give up a 1% edge just really keen to find someone, i love flipping, just posted my email for jayaprash or krugger if you guys want to negotiate something
cheers, Rahim!
