I have started to digest Confidant91's session more deeply, i.e. wached No Limit Beginner Course - Live play with the basic strategy (3) again and took notes on some interesting spots, what the coach says about it, etc. like these ones for example:
AQo on BTN sv MP: call 3 BB
- Flop: KT4, MP raise 1/2 pot
~ It is our trash hand, we can just simply fold
~ call here
~ if he does not continue betting on the turn, we just bet 1/2 pot and a bit more (in this example 1/2 pot + 2 BB) in order to fold out his 2nd - 3rd pairs
AQo on BB vs UTG limp and BTN 3BB raise
- Pre-flop: call
For more experienced player it is possible to 3-bet here - Flop: 8AK
~ we have a made hand, and accoring to our lesson we are playing check / call - Turn: 6
~ no one bet on the flop, which mean the BTN guy does not have a made hand
-> bet 2/3rd of the pot oa top pair
-> BTN guy 3-bet us /about pot size/
-> FOLD, we should give him a credit, beause
- people usually don't bluff a bet on the turn and a call from the fish
AKo 3-bet on pre-flop open raise: 3x of original bet
... and so on. I took me a while to take these notes (5 pages in a A♥:5♥: booklet)
Speaking about AK: anyone know how to play this hand profitably? I mean... I wached the How to play AK video (did not make notes yet, so not learned yet
)
I have checked in Hand2Note, I have 40 hand in NL2 playing AKo or AKs and here is the result:

And today's AK is not even counted as I see from the result. AK is vulnerable or I don't know how to use them, but ![]()

Stacks:
UTG ($71.5BB) 72bb
UTG+1 ($107BB) 107bb
CO ($125BB) 125bb
BTN ($98BB) 98bb
SB Hero ($108BB) 108bb
BB ($239.5BB) 240bb
Pre-Flop: (1.5BB, 6 players) Hero is SB K♣: A♠:
3 folds, BTN raises to 4BB, Hero raises to 12BB, 1 fold, BTN calls 8BB
Might be the raise not necessary, I have to re-wach the How to play AK correctly video again...
Flop: A♥: Q♥: 3♣: ($24.5BB, 2 players)
Hero bets 17.5BB, BTN calls 17.5BB
Turn: T♥: ($59.5BB, 2)
Hero bets 20BB, BTN goes all-in 68.5BB, Hero folds
Tried a thin bet here (1/3 pot) to make him fold his "other-than-flush" hand. It did not work. At least I did not loose a full BI
Final Pot: $148BB
BTN wins $142BB (net +$44BB)
Hero lost $49.5BB
Of course I do not want to mention my NL5 speed tables here (I played these before I applies to the Bankroll Challenge) because my stat is winnig here, € 11 profit in 28 hands
)
I was sitting out right after this hand (of course waiting for the BB) and sat in an NL5 Speed table. Then within 12 hands I took revenge with a A♦:A♣: on a Q♠:Q♣: ![]()
Was lucky this time, no Q came on the streets, so I am back to €35 again. Feels like a gambling, sorry guys ![]()
