Hey Castle, thanks a lot
I started playing today on my tablet - so no hand history for a couple of hand, I am sure someone would say that I am a fish:coolface: Should they be right or not? ♠_biggrin:
It started as a dream (up with ~$3), continued as a roller-coaster, then -already sitting in front of my computer- finished in the red line.
At least I was able to stop playing when I am tilted, loosing 2 BI is always a good sign to stop.
And I got $0,7 from the Chrome freeroll as a little present
I think it is not a shame to finish a tourney with a Q♥:Q♠: against a K♠:K♣: is not it?
My finishing bankroll for today:
$23,15
It all started as a dream today. In the morning I was up with almost $6 and sit down in the night to make my bankroll bigger than $30. So I stepped on to the roller-coaster ![]()
Wow, and there is a little
at the end ![]()

With this K♥:A♠: vs A♦:Q♣: at the end I had a feeling that I was rather fighting against the PokerStars random generator ![]()
As I was quite okay with the result at the end, but I still wanted to play some poker, so I put 2 cents to a 990 handed sit and go.
And the result is: 6th place, $1,1 winning ![]()
With this the end of the day
$25,12
No more graphs and hands for a while, since my wife has restarted the computer during the day -in spite I asked her not to do-, so the trial version of PokerTracker has been gone. ![]()
On the positive side, I was able to use it for a week more ![]()
Next trial will be Holdem Manager, lets see which one I like most
Do you know with software you like the most?
Hopefully you started June well so far.
Cheers,
SDK1987
I was waiting for your call:)
Although I'm not as enthusiastic as before, I am around and still playing poker, the only difference is that I am playing less (less? how can I play less than 100 hand a day
), therefore there is not too many things to write.
This is a treatment somehow - I tend to loosen up when I am winning, ending up in losing situatons, so I decided to stop after winning more than $1 on NL5. This means that for example yesterday and today I was playing only 1 hand ![]()
The first hand for yesterday was a K♣:K♦:
Today A♠:Q♣:
still do not know how to export hand in PS-like format
...and I was stepping on the gas pedal. Which also means that I am testing increased bet sizes too ![]()
Unfortunately I did not take the chance to dig into HM2. It is nice, but I got used to the interface of PokerTracker... So, for me PT is the go so far.
Ah yes, and it can provide graphs like this:

Let's say that June started well so far
$33,4
Sometimes it seems that there are one main skill while playing poker: foresight or divination you choose ![]()
I met with a seer yesterday on the Chrome freeroll after 1 hour of playing (not in the ante period) putting all-in his 5♦:7♦: from the small blind. Not because I lost something but it was a fun for me too ![]()

By the way anyone knows how to get hands out from HM2 what pokerhands.org can eat?
I use always weaktight to convert hands. I expect that works fine with HM2 hands. Otherwise you need to use the normal HH, before it’s changed by HM2 that you can find in the HM2 archive.
Hopefully that will fixed you issue if no 1 knows how this works with the converter you normal use.
That AKo is pretty standard in a freeroll to stack off here
Cheers,
SDK1987
HM2 will convert hand history files directly into your clipboard in Pokerstrategy posting format.
If you right click on a hand from the lower half of the screen and then left click on View, it shows the hand in a clear format. The buttons on the bottom right then allow you to copy to clipboard for specific forums - "Pokerstrategy.org" is one of the options. (Although in the viewer you can see player aliases, they are anonymised when you copy to clipboard).
I think your software has to be logged in to your online HM profile for this to work.
I should write something here about what happened in the last (almost) 2 years, but honesty I am not in that mood.

So let's go on with the latest news: I am in the Get Rich or Die Tryin' Bankroll challenge
My poker platform will be Betfair poker, where I deposited €25 recently and been playing poker for about a month.
The first month was quite hectic, been up to 32 and down to ~10 and just recovered now. The past does not matter, the future is the 1k €!
By the way I am still running an old computer, and Sidekick does not run, also I still does not have PT4 or HM2, so I am running HUDless for a while. But this is fine, at least I am taking notes on the fellow players
(this must be a habit as I have already done this be4)
This also means that in the meantime I will buy what I need to move forward.
Do that is all for now, and of course
Week0
Blog: Changing life
Starting bankroll: 32,15 € (at Betfair)
Goal: 1000 €
Hello legeny,
Welcome to the 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' bankroll challenge. we will be looking forward to your first update which you should post by Monday of each week in Get Rich or Die Tryin' - The Bankroll Challenge - Reporting thread.
Have enjoyed catching up on your blog and by the looks of it you have a solid approach and I wish you all the best of luck in reaching your bank roll goal. I look forward to reading future posts.
My regards
Matt
Hey Matt, thanks!
Just installed Sidekick -it runs after all-, but does not read hands from Betfair. Will be fiddling with it a little bit, since I had an interesting hand which I can not discuss at the forum :-(
-legeny
Hi legeny,
welcome to our BR challenge...well, to your Bankroll challenge - or do you want to share the $1k that you are going to win?
GL & have fun!
Hey SvenBe,
Thanks ![]()
Actually it will be both: it is my BR challenge within the Pokerstrategy BR challenge, so this is our Bankroll challenge after all. And yes, I want to share the taste and the feeling of the challenge with you, that will be your share ![]()
Should I inrease the goal, what you think? ![]()

I gave up playing at NL5 Zoom for a while this week, right after this hand:

And yes, this also means that I managed to post hands to the forum. It was quite a challenge:
- PokerStrategy Sidekick does not read hand from ipoker (still)
- trying hard but could not manage to get hands or session to WeakTight (by browsing the HH files or copying hands)
- not every other online toll I have found
- finally I just found a reference to a tool named Hand2Note
At least Hand2Note can create a copy which WeakTight can eat.
This is what you can see above. Which means that I will be able to post hands to the forum. ![]()
NL2 regular tables are okay at the moment, fingers crossed. And as I do not like playing while I am tried, my volume is very low, because I am tried at night =). During daytime I am entertraining myself by reading blogs, I just finished la55i's and started on a Croatian Blogbuster.
So my Poker softwer problem has been solved for a while, but I can't wait to buy my HM or PT during the challenge ![]()

This is a post in brackets
(I still have that WilliamHill Poker bankroll, that is now 0,67 USD - it is there just for fun of course ![]()
I was plaing Today a Jackpot freeroll there, finishing at the place of 38 adding some 0,45 USD to the above
)
As for the Bankroll challenge the week's update:
Week1
Hands played (cash table): 599
Hands played (tournaments): 88
Profit: € 2,08
Current BR: € 34,23
![]()
Luckily I have this Hand2Note so I did not have to dig in Betfair Poker to get the hands number etc. Just select the reports, filter to last week and voilá, got it. As I got the graph too, just check this:

Do you see that nice line rocking to the bottom? That is the hand which I posted some days ago. Without that hand the whole bunch would look better ![]()
Luckily by playing ABC poker at NL2 SH regular tables, I could make this week to green. I am playing currently on 2 tables and busy with taking notes. It is really good to see that I am able to identify some behaviour, and at least I was sitting at a table with a
- a rock (moving with only premium hands)
- fishes (limping - calling with anything)
- lose aggrressive players
and so on. Noticing the rock was quite a good feeling for me, because I usually note a player who is playing a hand, not just sitting there. ![]()
At some point I played a 1€ buy-in tournament (a 1000€ Gtd) beacuse one of this one saved my bankroll (by winning 8,79 €) when I was around 10€. That time I was playing for a ticket from the welcome package.
I am still sitting at a Jackpot freeroll (Betfair this time) - probably will sit out, if anything comes from it, it will be calculated for next week ![]()

Sometimes I feel myself a fish in the water, I am sure that I am also doing fishy moves within a water which is full of fish. At least as far as I am able to identify them.
But these fishes are looking bigger than me, so they look like sharks ♠_o:
So I decided to take confidant91's course (same as LemOn's) from the beginning and also after finishing the course I will take whatever is advised in there, especially W34z3l's Walkthrough. I just finished Lesson 1, will move on. Confidant is a good coach, understandable and have an inspiring lift play during the coaching session, so my expectation is that will affect my play a lot - and in a positive way (as it happened before).
Given the fact that I do not have much time for poker, approx. 1-2 hours max. a day, it will take a while. I also like playing poker and it is good to have an experience from playing so ![]()
I also do not want to confuse myslef by reading a lot -more advanced articles- while I do not even understand the basics.
Next update will be on Sunday, and will be out on Monday for sure, because of a company event.
-legeny
Confidant still affects my play in a positive way, thank you Confidant ![]()
After waching Lesson 1 yesterday, finally I had a positive session with a memorable hand against a regular, which I show you here:

This week started with a very bad session, loosing 4$ on cash tables. Loosing money is fast, but collecting back... that is an other story. ![]()
I won a little money on the freeroll which makes the picture a bit better.
Posting a week result from Hand2Note, but for some reason it does not show all hands, could not find it why.

Anyway, it does not look that bad as it started ![]()

I am back again and I had a really interesting week, let me tell you ![]()
On Monday and Thuesday I had a company event, so I did not play on Monday.
But on Monday morning I had an appointment with a doctor, because my heart missed some click (I think it must have missed the bet on the flop ) and the doctor said that implementing a pacemaker looks very important. I immediately received an appointment for next week with a comment that he might have an opportunity to do the operation on Wednesday. He will call me if this is the case.
So I received a call and I became richer with a shiny new pacemaker
and that one if much more important than anything I am doing in poker ![]()
Back to the poker:
I had a chance to play a very few hands on Tuesday (<100) with very nice result (3,5 € plus)
I came home from the hospital on Wednesday (they are fast, don't they) and just wanted to play so badly, so in 27 hands I lost 2,5 €
Was not in a mood playing and doing anything during the next days, I could not really do that, because most of the time I was laying in the bad ![]()
Neverthless I played yesterday a few hand more and also today a bit.
I have to say that I am not focused most of the time, unpatient and want to do all of the fancy stuff what is in my head (!), and my losses comes mainly from this. If I am sticking (more likely) to the beginner's strategy, then I am doing fine. I am staying out of the trouble but in this case others in the table are exploting me very often just by raising because I am folding ![]()
*identified weekness are in bold red
Anyway, I am sticking to my plan, I will go through Confidant's course, more time if needed and after that I will attend some advanced stuff here. I have just finished the first view of the 3rd lesson ![]()
Week3
Hands played (cash table): 225
Hands played (tournaments): do not want to count now ![]()
Profit: € - 0,29
Current BR: € 33,83
