Hi,

I would like to learn more about HU SNGs . The game structure at the site is: Starting stack = 1000/30, blinds go up every 3 minutes. The problem is that after the first couple of levels when stacks get very shallow I don't have any good strategy and play mostly by the feel. Particularly I usually don't know which hands are good for a steal/resteal, whether I should min raise or shove etc. Are there any useful articles/videos for this game format on pokerstrategy?

I was wondering the same, Hyper Turbo HU games are something that I would be interested learning. Currently playing 6 max Turbo and my 2nd places are more than 1st , so learning short stack play will be beneficial.

Bump!

I just made a thread wondering if this forum was the correct place for HUSNG discussion/study. I guess it is.

I like the regular and turbos but am playing only regulars right now because a) I'm a US player and there's basically 2 main networks to play on if you're playing full time: WPN and Chico (BetOnline). They both have extremely busy HUSNG traffic but BetOnline only has regular HUSNG's and on WPN, I belong starting at the regulars anyway. I'll try the turbos again but I think I'll have a higher winrate with the regs. b) The regulars attract a lot of fish, too. The thing is that the blinds aren't even worth fighting for and there's no reason to build a big pot without a huge hand for several levels. I myself at first, and all of the fish who are stuck at the micros stakes there, just don't understand that you widen the range as the sng goes on, and will just hang themselves early, leaving themselves extremely short stacked or flat out broke after an all in where they were dominated. I keep feeling like these can be extremely profitable for me hourly if I continue to work at them and you accumulate a lot of rake back on WPN by playing them.

I play these and cash games currently and am finding that one compliments the other nicely and allows me to get in a lot of volume. As much as I want. I'm contemplating playing some heads up cash games this weekend just to see how I do in them today as I'm much better than when I last tried them.

Hi fellows,
I am BIG :f_drink: and fan of the hyper HUSNG.
I really would like to improve my game on them because I start thinking that when I sit on the table I see the happy face in front of me :f_biggrin:

Little bit about my problems:

I am aggressive, probably too much,
I do not care about the money as such,
I hate when I lose more games than I win (which is the usual case). :f_tongue:

One thing that is really upsetting me is the fact that, most of the time when I think that I play right (at least according to my strategy) - I lose, and in the cases that I am sure that I played something wrongly - I win.

Would you mind I to share some games from the last days and you to tell me what is your opinion about them?

Thanks.

Hi, I can probably help you to beat microstakes in HU Hyper Sngs. I stopped playing HU Hyper Sngs for some reasons. But last year I have played over 7000 games and I´m in the top 25 winner list for 2016 in sharkscope for HU Hyper micros.

Thanks for the offer.
Can you suggest me a nice place where I can easily upload and share some games.
I played on Party poker and I tried to use http://www.pokerhandreplays.com/view.php/id/8373467 , but it looks like they do not support these game format.

what is your strategy?

where did you get it from?

what are your assumptions of the population against which you play?

id start by asking yourself these questions then develop a plan for longer success that involves working on your game and wiht a good study to play ratio.

Hi again,
andrexpuppy referring to my strategy - I would say that this is a strong word for my way of playing. I am still trying different approaches. Something like stumbling and shooting in the dark.:f_mad: As a matter of fact, I think that I play too loose and I am bluffing too much.
Something else, I am wondering what starting bankroll you would recommend me for 1$ hyper HUSNG?

I found a place where I like the way I can share my hands. ( http://www.cardrunners.com/pokertools/handconverter).
Below is a list of sessions from the games I played last weekend.
If you do not mind to have a quick look on it for some common errors or very weak parts of my general behavior I will be very grateful.

I haven´t take a look at all hands and I also haven´t look at the game flow.
So these advices are vs. unknown villains. If you have reads where you can exploit villain then do it:

http://www.cardrunners.com/pokertools/hand/37786973/
min-raise or limp pre

http://www.cardrunners.com/pokertools/hand/37786975/
open shove @ this stack depth

http://www.cardrunners.com/pokertools/hand/37786979/
Open shove

http://www.cardrunners.com/pokertools/hand/37787012/
Limp pre

http://www.cardrunners.com/pokertools/hand/37787014/
I check the flop. Villain has nearly everytime 2 overcoards
vs. 2 flop cards and the board is two-tone and a SD is also
possible.

http://www.cardrunners.com/pokertools/hand/37787013/
min-raise or limp

General advices:
- A good cbet size is ~40%-45% you can play also with a
33% cbet size. But it depends also on the board structure.

- Limp with a wide range and stab a lot of flops.
min-bet in a limped pot is ok on the most textures.

- Even with a 8bb stack you can still limp some hands.
But depends also on your opponent how much he is iso-raising etc.

- @14bb for example:
Open shove hands like: A2-A8, 22-55

And probably the most important advice: Don´t tilt. Even on microstakes it can happend that you lose 30 buy-ins in a session. The variance is very high in a HU Hyper game. It can be pretty annoying when you get it in as a 80% favorite but lose everytime vs. a lucky running fish. Don´t play when you are tilted it´s pretty easy to lose a huge amount of your bankroll in a hyper game when you spew around like a monkey.

If you need more help then just write me a PM I dont play HU Hyper anymore but I have still my documents from different things that I have worked out and also content from some highstakes regs.
