Only thing you could MAYBE play differently is AK fold vs that river raise. Any 9x beats you and flush got there. That would be because river raises are "always" nuts....

We have both had bad poker days today apparently But that happens, let's forget the losses and go crush the recreationals

OK, by now a total donwswing of about ~13.5 buyins.

Today I was about 0.75 buyin up but hey ... we can't have that right?

Question: Should I have check folded there? I do not think so but maybe I'm wrong.
Jamming the turn? Of course in hindsight would be better but he payed 28.5 BB to max win 59.5.

Anyways... When I'm 20 buyins down I quit. That is my decision.

But this hand here, nothing you can do. Before I looked at the spoiler I thought that god damn if the guy hits some kind of stupid backdoor flush it sucks.. But he can have AK,AJ,A6 etc... You have about half pot behind.. I would say you can't do anything here.

Hands are played fine I guess, AK I'm folding to river x/r and QQ I'm 3betting pre. Fwiw, your current downswing is nothing compared to what you can expect.

I once lost 25 buyins in around 15k hands on Pokerstars which left me convinced the site is rigged. I also lost 8 buyins after just 300 hands played on a short handed table that included three maniacs. I got my money in ahead every time and disaster struck in favour of the lagtards. I've had several 20+ buyin swings since I started playing cash but overall I am way ahead. So don't despair because even with a solid winrate you can go on 20+ buyin losing streaks if you play long enough.

If you are mainly losing to runner runner suckouts on the river or as all-in pre-flop fav than you are just experiencing bad luck and are playing winning poker long term.

All relative, my last week was 16000 hands where I was:

1.45 bb/100
19.01 EV bb/100

Decided to sit out next BB at all tables and call it quits, in the last 15 hands I lost AA vs KK, QQ vs 55, AA vs 75o and AKo vs AJo, three of those all in pre, 75o opponent shoved all in on Q86 flop, 700BB gone like that.

Something like 30 buyins below EV in a week.
