I consider myself as a tournament player. Thou hardly joined any MTT yet. I play NL Hold'em exclusively.
Since I'm newbie, I play only Sit-and-go with the $0.5 buy in.
I'm somewhat comfortable there, I think I could go the $1-1.5 ones. Thou, taking a very slow approach with it. I strive to be able to play 4 tables before moving up.

You should find plenty of like-minded people here to talk poker with you. In fact, how about you start a blog in our blogs section to keep us all updated about your poker journey?

And now that you're all settled in, maybe you should also consider getting a tracked poker room, like SDK1987 suggested. In case you're not familiar, this means that you would sign up at a new poker room through Pokerstrategy, and automatically earn StrategyPoints by playing at that room to get a higher member status, thus unlocking new content.

Not sure what kind of poker rooms you are using already, but I could give you some advice about any other rooms where you might want to sign up if you want to get a tracked account. We also have some dedicated experts on the forum who can assist you with this.

For now, I play on PokerStars.
Thinking about accepting offer from pokerstrategy and getting to PartyPoker as well.

Not sure if I need it yet. My goal is to acquire decent tournament skillset. Therefore rushing after deals is a distraction. Almost doesn't matter where I play. Also, as tougher opponents are - as better I gotta be to beat 'em. Yet I believe that Stars offers 'hardest mode'. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Same goes for the blog. I'm almost 100% sure I won't keep it up. It won't go down to boring 'yesterday I played 4 SNG, cashed in 2 and won 1; Today I played in 4, cashed none', it will start from it.
Hardly possible to imagine that interests someone. Maybe I'm missing something... Is blog needed for others to check to give me a more precise answer?

Unlocking new content is a good way to improve. Yet, I'm too cautious to leave my poker-room nickname anywhere.

When it comes to traffic and their variety of games, Pokerstars is easily the best room. And yes, they may also have one of the hardest player pools as a result of all that traffic. Don't worry, though, the micro stakes are beatable pretty much anywhere.

If you do want to create a tracked account at one point, feel free to head over to the Choosing the right Poker Room for you thread and my friend Lazza will give you some advice. Smaller rooms often come with fishier player pools, which obviously is an advantage.

The other way to get a higher membership status over here is, of course, to directly buy it, but I'm sure you would prefer to earn one by playing instead, like most people. Either way, you will keep Bronze status for life once you reach it, the other ones are bought/earned for a limited time.

Nah, blogs aren't really needed for more detailed feedback, they're just a way to keep everyone updated about your progress and everything else you feel like sharing (and there is also an optional bankroll challenge for some extra motivation). It's up to you whether you want to create one or not. I also gave up on my second one after it became nothing but result updates. But if you do start one, I will certainly follow it.

Was thinking like... If I could deposit and withdraw with paypal - that's where I'd play.
Used that search bar on the right, seems like people complaining about paypal not dealing with any poker rooms.
That's very unfortunate... Guess I'm sticking with starts 'till I'll be conscious enough to complain about tournament rake or something.

I mentioned somewhere that I feel comfortable playing $0.5 Sit-and-go, but for transitioning to $1-1.5 ones I need at least $100. I could just deposit it. But since I'm taking it slow learning to multi-table... Might as well grind it.

Yeah, Paypal doesn't really want to get involved with gambling sites at all, it seems. It's a common problem, not just with poker, but also sports betting and other types of gambling. There are also regional restrictions, so you'll have to check for yourself what kind of deposit options are available to you on any room.

Your bankroll management guidelines are ultimately up to you, but I would personally recommend grinding it up as well, instead of depositing to get to a higher level. After all, if you're good enough to play at this level, it should only be a matter of time until you get there, and if you aren't, you wouldn't really have any business playing higher stakes anyway. Besides, there is something satisfying about the knowledge that the money you use to fund your games was earned entirely through your own skills.

Yea, growing it by yourself is essential for a good success story.
It's whole different thing if you start with bigger amount. Especially, if it so big that people can't relate to. The amount is fully dependent on their income.
