Today was my first day off since I restart. I found it very hard lol always want to play. This past 2 weeks I was more in Mtt then cashgame I don't I find sometimes nl2 it's a bit boring!!
And I'm stuck at 78 now can't past the 70 mark.. my top was 96 but I fall till I hit 56 not a good week I think lol. Sometime I did good but other time damm I suck. I'm gonna try to increase my learning slowly and steady because I play hockey, bicycle and I'm gonna restart working Monday after my parental.. I hope I'm gonna be able to play about 2-3 times a week in cash game and 1-2 Mtt on Sunday!

Wow finnaly reach the pokerstrategy status gold :)
Even if my bankroll is at 90.49$ usd and I'm playing 0.55$ tournament its nice.
I started with 20$ now I'm at 90 that's nice wish I can grind more lol I'm stuck under 100$ even if its my second month I restart paying.
Most of my time when I can I play tournament on party poker now I try to unlock bonus.. I'm gonna go back on start maybe after Christmas or when I pass 250$ I'm pretty sure when I'm gonna switch to NL5 its gonna be faster for grinding because NL2 I get bored too much I think... Anyway I have a lot of fun in that Wich me luck :)

I played about 600 hands today. Very hard to play cash game on party poker I find not enough players, I prefer pokerstars but because I need to unlock my bonus I'm stuck here.. even the tournament are not attractive like pokerstars, now I'm playing for 0.01$ and add on 0.20$ for my 1.10$ ticket I try to have them for playing for a ticket at 5$ and maybe more sometime wish me luck on table :)

I finally introduce some nl5 in my play this week. I was playing nl2 for at least 3 month and now I played 1 table nl5 and 1 nl2. I feel people try to go all in too often in nl2 but I dont mind because when I got great card I laugh lol except when they beat me with 72o lol all in preflop.
Oh and I try with a hud to play poker but I enjoy it less then without so maybe I'm weird but I think the hud its gonna be for later..(pokertracker/holdem manager)

How are you doing at NL2? I guess you have made some profit? :)
113$ would be around 23 buy-ins for NL5. If you want to take a shot I would say go for it. You can for example plan to take a 3 buy-in shot and if you lose you go back to NL2 until you have big enough bankroll again.
The skill difference is not huge. There might be a bit less recreationals at NL5 and ppl might start to 3bet you more but still they are quite bad. When you go to higher limit it might feel terrifying or difficult at first but you will get used to it.

If you lose those 3 stacks at first when you try it, don't think you are not good enough. Variance plays a big role here and you can easily lose for thousands of hands even if you are good enough. Don't be afraid, be confident. Remember that you play micros to get better at poker, not to make tons of money.

The most important thing here is to make a plan for your shot. Plan to play those 3 stacks or whatever but if it starts to go bad, you really have to go down. Some time ago it happened to me quite often that I didn't want to go down when I have got up in the stakes and then I just lost too much and it took a long time to recover.

Yes you can improve without those software, but yea I also think at some point it will get more difficult without. Also those software have a HUD and if your poker site allows it, you would get a small edge by using a HUD properly.

At the lowest limits you can just focus on studying the basic strategies and tracking software is not necessary but at some point you want to start analyzing your own game and making improvements. Then you will start needing a tracking software.
You can try Hand2Note, it is free for the lowest limits. It offers a great HUD. I haven't used it much but I believe the free version is not so good for analyzing your game.
