I didn't know what to do on this flop texture with AKs. Is it okay to give up and x/fold flop?

I would take the easy approach with the big ante in play and a min raise and call in front of me.
I would just shove with my 22bb stack. This way you don’t get in awkward post-flop situations like this. Now you can’t do much else then folding on the flop.

Cheers,

I agree with shove preflop being only 22bb deep.
On flop I would actually think most of time we have best hand here (and even if we don't i would think we have enough fold equity+raw equity to still have enough to go for hand) on flop and SPR being 1 i think i just shove.
If i read it right It 1,25k all-in shove on flop to win 1,35k "dead money" + we have 20% when called by one pair and lot more vs any non pair hands what call. I think we need very small fold equity to make it already +EV shove on flop there vs also capped range (No tt+, AdKd).
P.s. We need just around 30% equity vs calling range to make it +EV shove without Fold equity but we will have some for sure here.
@SDK1987 i would agree we should never be in this situation postflop because we should shove preflop and i agree with check/fold deeper stacked here but with SPR under 1 and with fold equity+raw equity for hand here i think it mistake to check/fold as played.

Good luck.

Thanks for your comments :f_drink: I didn't think of shoving there as a possibility

I know it can be difficult mentally to shove pre flop after spending 3/5 hours playing. However it is an important play to learn or else you will be bullied and slowly blind out.
