PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Converted at http://handhistoryconverter.com/

BB ($10.76)
UTG ($25.75)
MP ($26.45)
CO ($25)
Hero (Button) ($25)
SB ($20.16)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 10, 10
1 fold, MP calls $0.25, CO raises to $1.10, Hero calls $1.10, 2 folds, MP raises to $4.11, CO calls $3.01, Hero calls $3.01

Flop: ($12.68) 10, A, 9 (3 players)
MP bets $22.34 (All-In), CO calls $20.89 (All-In), Hero calls $20.89 (All-In)

Turn: ($75.35) J (3 players, 3 all-in)

River: ($75.35) 7 (3 players, 3 all-in)

Total pot: $75.35 | Rake: $2

MP: 38/21/5,8 153 hand
R1: 31 (48) pretty much the same from every position
note: was playing x/c with his second pair on flop and x/minraised on turn with trips.

CO: 22/17/6,2 582 hand

Seemed like a pretty easy call for me preflop when i was playing but looking back at this hand i am nut sure. His limp/raise range is like QQ+,AK or so, so I was only setmining here. The problem is I whenever i get a low board, going broke is definetely a -EV move. Sometimes i will put money into the pot with an under set, and even if he will have just an overpair he still has almost 10% equity.

People sometimes like to play AA with a limp-raise. When CO calls as well, I think I might find a fold preflop, personally.

As played, when there’s an ace on the flop and two players go AI, then, considering the preflop action as well, I think I’m definitely folding middle set. If either of them has AA, we have just one out.

Maybe I’m too nitty here? :f_biggrin:

I never fold any set on the flop, which in retrospect may be a real flaw :f_biggrin:

I didn't calculate preflop but it seems like we get a decent price. Would also call.
OTF for me it is a clear call also. There are 3 combos of AA left. I would assume CO rarely slowplays AA preflop. MP could be just an idiot. He can do this with AK. Limp 3bet is also quite frequently a pocket pair so 99 is not impossible. Maybe if we had bottom set I might be able to consider folding but mid set is super difficult to fold here. At least for me. And ofc if we fold now, we are super exploitable and it would really mean that we fold every single time when villain ships it OTF.

So, yes, I am too nitty there. :f_tongue:
I guess we can't credit villain with the nuts every time when we hold the second nuts. And it's a good price OTF.

Preflop, though: We are probably not ahead with TT, so I guess we are set mining here. I always thought you wanted effective stacks to be at least 15 times the amount you're calling in a 3-bet pot to set mine profitably, and we don't have anywhere near that.

Yea we are setmining. And that call 15 in 3bet pots is a decent rough guide. But now we are also multiway which makes our implied odds better when we hit.
