TT facing 3bet preflop

I like the way you played this hand, I think checking turn is fine.

I think I would just check it down the river. I don’t think you get action of a 9 or something.

Why do you think he wont have Qx on this particular turn card? Jx also possible like AJ,KJ,TJ. So river check is better

So BTN vs BB TT is a call

River you can check behind because you have showdown value
Their are not many worse hands which will call your bet
And facing a raise here would be very ugly..,

I think he doesnt have Qx because AQ, KQ would bet I believe. And KJ, TJ wouldnt be 3betting preflop I guess (at least Im not 3betting it (dont know if thats good)). Maybe Im wrong and he may have those combinations.. Im still learning. And what I have learned from your advices guys is that I should check the river. Thank you all.

Recently I have done some population analysis and donks appear to be more on the weaker side. They are not very often super strong hands. Mostly they are anything from air to draws to top pair weak kicker.
After villain checks on the turn I would prefer a bet for the reasons you mentioned yourself. I wouldn't want to give a free card here, I also don't like the idea that after our check villain can more easily bluff us, and then we can still get some value from weaker hands. So making a turn bet might save us from many nasty situations and most of the time it lets us check behind OTR.

And about the river, you should avoid thin value bets when you are in position. You open the betting round again and you might get raised. Villain also might just fold with every weaker hand. So the EV of check would be quite similar than EV of a small bet.

I dont understand how you mean this. You mean that its not good to bluffcatch here?

It looks like I did misread the preflop action. But it doesn't change my opinion very much. Villain makes a small cbet OTF and then checks OTT so my preference is still to bet there.

Well, we don't know what the river card is. If it is an overcard or completes draws and villain bets big, then I might not be thrilled to bluff catch with this. But I think OTT there is a good chance we are still ahead so I would definitely bet. By betting we don't give free cards and at the same time we deny him the opportunity to bluff us OTR. You can bet half pot and most of the time check behind OTR and be happy about it. If you check and villain decides to bet big, what do we want to do then? Since you are IP and villain checks you have the possibility to set the price and most of the time see a free showdown if he calls.

Oh actually when I think about what you are saying here, bet is clearly a better option.

When I check he can for example try to bluff me out of the hand with some A high hand, but then of course yeah if the river would complete draw and he betted big I would be in tough spot and I would fold.

So your advice is obviously better. I appreciate your advices. Its always helpful when better players explain their opinions to weaker ones.

I think we can bet the turn after villain checks. But as played it is not that bad.
River is a xb as we want to see showdown with our hand and we do not want to open betting again.
