Hi,

The villain has fairly loose stats, and just before this happened he showed playing hands like KTo from early position. I didn't see him defend against 3-bets before this hand (or 3-bet himself). However, AQ is near the top of my squeezing range as well, especially when squeezing a UTG raise

I expect it's close either way, but do you guys think this is a call for me, and what should the calling range be (my best guess is AJs+,AQo+,99+)?

Thanks!

You have awkward stack size for squeeze here I think. I prefer call pre.

Interesting - would it mean I have to give up post-flop when I miss, i.e. more often than not? I did consider it, but thought it was too weak for AQ. Or would we call hoping for a raise behind? I do agree that squeezeing with 20% of the stack is what gives me odds to call the subsequent shove.

The squeeze sizing seems big as well. 3x in position seems big enough. Than you have more room to fold on a 4bet. Without any reads this would be a fold on the 4bet as well. I don’t think he will ever 4bet with worse. AJ I would fold on a 3bet if I was him, but 44 is a loose 4bet shove as well what he did now.

Cheers,
