Hi guys!
My name is buiscuil. I have daabled a bit in tournaments but family life is too demanding for 4 hours tournaments so I mostly play 6 Max No Limits nowadays.
Let's start with introduction and then an explaination for this thread. I started poker 5 years ago and got hooked to home games very quickly with my circle of friends. After a while they starting drifting off to other more mature matters (mostly video games and boardgames lol) so I decided to give online poker a try.
I thought that the vice should be tackled with a stingy approach so I took on the poker websites on their free beginners offers, which range from $20 to $50 free depending on the website. I lost the free money on 3 sites, but started building bankrolls up on 2 others. The first one my bankroll went up from the free $20 to $450 in a couple of years but I have recently managed to take it back to $60 or so.
The second one is the one I now use everyday: my bankroll went up from $50 (2013) to $4,400 (december 2017). My new year resolution was to get to $10,000 by the end of 2018. Unfortunately for me, since then my bankroll plummeted to $2,500 :f_cry:. Software tracker tells me that I am EV- for ~$500 of that, bad luck accounts for -$1,200 under my EV line and I got some + money from rake back. I have to say these have been 4 HORRIBLE months for me. Mostly losing the 40/60, the 50/50, the 60/40, the 70/30 and yes, even a few 95/5... It's hard to focus on playing well when this happens.
Anyway this is not the first time I am under a bad spell (or a good one) but this still rattles me way too much. I want to be a good poker player, which to me means play an A game and not letting my game get negatively affected by results and bad luck. I also want to reach my $10,000 goal (which I realize is a bit challenging given the circumstances, and I will change the timeline to $5,000 by the end of the year or earlier and 10,000 by June 2019 :f_cool:). One of my decisions to play better is to have a blog so tada! This will also push me not to make too much stupid plays and stay on top of my game YEAHHH
I will post a few hands now and then, hopefully at least once a week. I am looking for regular readers to analyze the hands with me. I will come report weekly wins/losses, rant on fishes and regs alike, share my feelings on the game etc. STAY TUNED!
