4 folds, BTN raises to T4,000, SB calls T3,000, Hero???

I have 18bb. BU minraises with a wide range. SB calls with a wide range. Lots of folds available plus good equity in a flip. So...shove?

Hero raises to T36,353 (all-in), BTN raises to T57,567 (all-in), 1 fold, Uncalled bet of T21,214 returned to BTN

Flop: 9♣ 3♥ 2♠ (T78,456, 2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: A♠ (T78,456, 2 players, 1 all-in)

River: 7♠ (T78,456, 2 players, 1 all-in)

Total Pot: T78,456
Hero shows 5♦ 5♣ (a pair of Fives)
BTN shows 9♠ 9♥ (three of a kind, Nines)

BTN wins T78,456

Seems like a good spot for it indeed with 55. A lot of fold equity most likely and the SB has most of the time a weak defending hand that he will fold often as well.

Cheers,

I checked ICMizer and it says TT+/AK. I was surprised it wasn’t a wider range.

Easy shove with any pocket. You have done some sort of mistake with icmizer.

It’s interesting how you have calculated this. It looks like you have used the 45 man paid outs or something. Otherwise this range makes no sense at all.

It was my first hand with icmizer. Probably did it wrong. Will try it again.

I do feel good about the 55 shove even though it didn’t work out.

Thanks for the additional input.

In my opinion, i am not pro, but it is how i used to think.... it is a good spot to shove, but is necessary analyse two points:

1. information about the Button and the SB, they have middle stacks, so if they are loose, shove can be the best option because you have FOLD EQUITY, if they are tight, i prefer play with call and looking for a three of a kind on flop.

2. Is necessary analyse the moment of the tourney, it is a bubble time? If the answer is "Yes", Shove! Always, put some pressure in your oponents. If the next Pay Jump is a significant, Shove!

Always play for win
