When playing full ring NL2 on 888poker, the max buy in is 100BB. However, when playing 6max NL2, the max buy in is just 50BB.
I was wondering if anybody could help me figure out how to adjust my style when playing 6max with just 50BB?

Otherwise I'm not much of a help because I haven't really studied short stack games. I believe the playing style should be more aggressive. Speculative hands get weaker because of the smaller stack to pot ratio so you should prefer high equity hands.
