So a little background to the Villains:

SB was 2nd in chips and very active and been shown to be aggresive (especially post flop) - (he had a hand with us where he defended big blind and led out 2 street with pure air on 2488x board and got there on river with his J9o)
BTN was fairly tight due to the 2 other shorter stacks around

PokerStars - 90000/180000 Ante 27000 NL - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 34.16 BB (VPIP: 18.24, PFR: 14.12, 3Bet Preflop: 7.69, Hands: 171)

BB: 17.36 BB (VPIP: 24.75, PFR: 20.92, 3Bet Preflop: 11.27, Hands: 202)
UTG: 9.58 BB (VPIP: 7.74, PFR: 5.52, 3Bet Preflop: 5.00, Hands: 156)
Hero (CO): 54.78 BB

5 players post ante of 0.15 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.25 BB) Hero has A♣ T♦

fold, Hero raises to 2 BB, BTN calls 2 BB, SB calls 1.5 BB, fold

Flop: (7.75 BB, 3 players) T♣ A♥ J♣
SB bets 4.49 BB, Hero calls 4.49 BB, fold

Turn: (16.74 BB, 2 players) 3♥
SB bets 7.2 BB, Hero calls 7.2 BB

River: (31.14 BB, 2 players) 3♣
SB bets 12 BB , hero ???

I am not sure what the maths is in this spot but there was also a hand besides the j9 hand where we check check flop heads up he led turn and he gave up river. So i decided he doesnt bluff too much river. the J9 hand he hit a J on the river when the flopped flush draw got there but he value bets anyway. I heroed with K2 previously.

I just felt him leading on this flop into both of us seem quite strong especially as I have shown to be raising with lots of Ax and high cards. This is the 1st hand we tangoed 3 handed and he still led into both of us on the flop and bareeled all 3 streets. I initially put him as a really strong draw like Kx Qx flush draw with gut shot. We do hold the Ace of club as well.

I ended up folding but would like some advise if that is the correct play in the long run , obviously if i call and is wrong will drop to danger zone with 3rd/4th placing.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Without any Paid outs it's tough to give any math here, but you can use the ICM calculator, but in most cases I would call a small bet on the river. You beat some 2 pair combo's. Only the flush is nasty for you.

That looks top heavy for sure and if you read the Chip Value (3): Application of the ICM article you can try to calculate this spot. If you have problems with it you can always ask it here.

Is a decent option, but if you do it you get only action of better and flush draws I think.
