hi,

looks like a bottom of range shove if you adjust their ranges. HRC

BTN: 3,300 (13.2 bb)

BB: 990 (4 bb)
Hero (CO): 1,365 (5.5 bb)

4 players post ante of 25, SB posts 125, BB posts 250

Pre Flop: (pot: 475) Hero has 9♥: A♠:
Hero raises to 1,250 and is all-in, 2 folds, BB calls 715

Flop: (2,155, 2 players) 7♥: 5♠: 6♠:

Turn: (2,155, 2 players) Q♣:

River: (2,155, 2 players) A♣:

Spoiler

Results: 2,155 pot (0 rake)
Final Board: 7♥: 5♠: 6♠: Q♣: A♣:

Hero mucks 9♥: A♠:: (One Pair, Aces)
(Pre 28%, Flop 32%, Turn 16%)

It's a close spot for sure. If the big stacks calling to wide it's most of the time a -ev shove.

Cheers,

At equilibrium A9o makes 0.23 when AA makes 2.74, so we are basically printing by shoving. No way this is not supposed to go in.

Hey guys,

I have never played STTs, so I am curious - how does the bubble changes our strategy?

I have a pretty solid understanding of HU 0-25bb, but I am clueless about ICM and bubble.

This feels like a shove to me, but I have no idea how to calculate the ranges of my opponents or what would be the reason for open folding this.

Thank you for your insights in advance.

When you're on the bubble you have a risk premium which forces you to play tighter. ICMizer shows this as bubble factor which then can be calculated into a risk premium%. Equity needed + risk premium = Actual equity needed.

Up until now I have just plugged numbers into Holdemresources and gotten the answers I needed, but I might be good to know how the risk premium switches based on payouts.

Good to note that this is double or nothing so same as being in satellite bubble. Meaning ICM tax is in its highest form as top three cash same and 4th nothing.
