I am unsure about the river play. I can see that a lot of villain range improves. But it is still a call with 2pair on the river BTN vs BB, right or wrong?

Why don't you reraise the turn. It's 2 nl, i guess they call with many worse hands

It's a call on the river imo. He can have alot of one pair A hands which have hit on the turn after cbetting the flop with air/draws/backdoor draws/overcards and a lot of players will bet them on turn and river. And he can have some two pair hands, you would only lose to AJ.
He can also have busted draws he decides to keep bluffing, but I think he would keep betting half pot on the turn in that case and maybe make it 3/4 on the river.
He will also have some sets obviously, but that would be a minority of all the possibilities villain could play this way.
I would not call down K9 btw.
