The more I try to find answers the more confused I get.
I will go through the bonus policy,
the promotion page and the comp points page

It would be great if the 888 rep could chime in and address these questions.

Hi LahtiPelican,
Is it possible that you have cleared $0.94 of your bonus?
click the blue down-arrow to the right of the "expires in 47 days"
You should see a white line that shows how much you have to go to clear the bonus.

I am officially completely clueless about how their bonus system works.
Their policies have conflicting statements, and I still have not heard back from their support about it.

Today I received a scratchcard with a $1 sports bonus.
If I make a sports bet, then my real money balance is used, and I would need to bet $350 on sports before my $1 bonus gets added to my "available balance"
Betting $350 on sports seems beyond reason at any time, so this one will eventually expire.

Since I purchased my $10 bonus, my "contributed rake" is over $14 which should count for something, however the white line I mention above hasn't budged so much as a single pixel.

Cheers,
VS

Hi LahtiPelican,

Maybe your Cash Balance went to zero (just for a period) and did you play from Bonus Balance?

Yeah, that seems more likely.

Earlier I wrote about my little experiment in this thread, that was my only time when my available balance was 0. And as I wrote I could not play more this way- That's why I not understand how I lost the value of the bonus. The wagering line is also fully white at the moment.

Anyway, here is my earlier post:

Well, things didnt't happen as I planned.

So folks, that's how I became a winning roulette player

Then I made an interesting experiment: I sat to a NL200 table with my entire bankroll, so my available balance was exactly $0 .
Then tried to play roulette again, cause as you all see the bonus policy, if my availabe balance is zero, I can use my freeplay balance. But my only option was to deposit again, 888 did not let me to use my freeplay. So I think that's all, bonuses and freeplay are missleading on 888 from now on...

I did not forfeit my bonus when cashed out, maybe because I left $1. I lost that $1 playing Blast and then was able to clear my bonus as easy as before. I only could clear $40 of $60 before it was hard again. Now I have $40 in bonus. I will try this move again just before the first bonus expires.

There is no way I'm going to cash out down to buck just to clear a bonus.

Every response I ever got from 888 I failed to understand, yet all assured me that it was possible to clear a bonus because as you play -- even with cash money -- you collect bonus points, but no-one has yet been able to tell me how to tell how many bonus points I have.

Cheers,

Update

I sent an email to 888 support that contained several questions.
One of those questions was "How can I tell how many bonus points I have?"
The support tech answered every question Except that one.

So I replied with the following:

Thank you for the detailed response.
However the question I most wanted the answer for is:

*How can I find out how many bonus points I have?*

If you could answer that I would greatly appreciate it.

Today I received this answer:

Thank you for contacting us.

<my name>, In order to know the bonus points left on an active bonus you will have to contact us we will be able to provide that information as you are unable to view your bonus points on your end.

If you require further assistance with this or any other matter, please feel free to contact us.

This is beginning to get hilarious.
I will now reply once again, and specifically ask how many bonus points I have.

I'll let ya know...

Hi VorpalF2F,

I already asked:
Did I collect Bonus Points?

And they wrote:
...no you did not collect bonus points from bets placed using real money.

Hi FVM8973,

I'm very curious what's happening if you won! Do you have Cash balance again?

Yes, I do. I used my bonus money to re build my bank roll.

My bonus balance reached $37 today, so I decided to try your method.

The most interesting thing that I los 3x$0,5 bonus and some tournament tickets (whatever, I had 40+ of them...), but there is a $1 cash balance and $35,5 bonus balance left.

I played some hand on NL5 Snap and guess what happened:

The little blue line appeared!

I won 4 bucks on NL5, which added up to the cash balance so I am wondering If I have to cash out again or lose in order to continue wagering the bonuses? :f_confused:

I received the following email from 888:

Thank you for contacting us.

<my real name>, I refer to your query regarding the active points. Please note that you have 180 active points. By the active bonus you still reach 453 points.

Your requested data report for this month was sent to you in a separate email.

It appears that I have achieved 180 active points, and It appears I still need 453 points (assuming I understand their sentence correctly).
Note that I did not ask for a financial report, although I suppose my question could have been construed that way.

In any case, the financial report did not include any information on bonus points.

I have won several other bonuses from several promotions, but I have not claimed any of them, since I want to see this through.
I have made no withdrawals, and I've been playing PLO8 2 - PLO8 10 and since I purchased the bonus, I have paid $18.5 in "contributed rake" which appears to correspond to the 180 points.

Cheers,
VS

888 scams players: you can only wager bonus with bonus money, and that money is only used after I use my own money.

Confused?

That means: in order to release my bonus, first I must lose my entire bankroll, so that I can play with bonus money in order to release it!

Bottom line: they put bonus money in our account, add it to our balance, but we can´t touch it unless we lose all our winnings or deposit money, if I don't lose my bankrool, the bonus will expire and be removed from my ballance.

If this is not a scam, It's very close to it.... this is not from serious people...

Did you consider to use un bonus to buy-in in a tournament? Maybe a Rebuy, Add-on one.

Wondering what's the best thing to do with gold tickets with all this ? I mean i guess it's a big scam if we use them to convert in cash bonuses... So buying tournament tickets is the best to do ?

I don't understand what they're doing tbh i would like to stay on the room but this is too scammy, had a 300$ bonus on it and lost it because i lost interest in playing on the room because of all the confusion

I have a $10 bonus, and I'm playing with real money.
When I wrote them to ask, they reported that I had 180 bonus points, with 430 to go to clear the bonus.
I have not played with bonus funds.

At the end of the month I'll ask again -- I still have 60 days to go to complete the bonus.

Even after several contacts via email, I do not understand their bonus requirements at all

I don't understand that you're/they're saying we cummulate points, the new rule saying that cash balance is use before bonuses, and we need to play with bonuses to unlock them. I'm very confuse

I have an immediate bonus of 2$ right now, it says i need 6 bonus points to unlock it and that we gain 2 bonus points for each 1$ of rake paid... I'm playing 10NL actually i paid much more than the 3$ rake needed, it just show that it's not unlockable

There's a difference in rules between ''pending bonus'' and ''immediate bonus'' too i think.

And about gold tickets, we can buy a 1$ ''immediate bonus'' for 130 tokens, but if you go in the store, there is a 1$ ''bonus'' for 100 tokens. This is sooooooo confusing and unclear, what's the difference and why it's not the same price !?
