I agree i bet too small , was scared that the board hit him , what do you mean u bet 400 here , on wich board i can size up or down. I have watched so many articles about betting 1/3 of the pot /cbet/ and i am little bit confused here now ... i mean i dont have plan so u say i must bet flop and turn aswell?Thats the plan?

I would just check flop. You won't achieve much with cbet and this hand suck as second barrel hand. If this flop was rainbow I would use small cbet if betting and 40-50% on this one.

Easy fold on turn. Only one card on river you are happy to see.

Don't cbet for info ever. Do it for value, bluff or equity denial (protection).

Problem with cbetting 99 is that better won't fold and weaker could call. But what turns do we want to barrel? If we bet non 9 turn will it be for value or bluff?

So what often happens when we cbet and get called is that we check turn. Then evaluate river. Sometimes board run dry and we can think about bluff catching but it will always be tough spot to face reasonable sized river bet. But if we check flop it will be wider range that could probe bet turn than call flop and bet river.

Also it's questionable how many two overcard hands will fold versus cbet. QT, KT and KQ might peel turn versus normal cbet. If we have smaller pocket like 77 there is more argument for cbet for equity denial as getting hands like 89, K9, Q9 etc. to fold has lot more value.

If we have QQ or KK we are beating Jx so it will be more clear for value cbet.

So yeah by checking sometimes we will have option to check to showdown. Sometimes we might choose to go for delayed cbet on dry turn or check turn and bet river. Sometimes villain stab turn and give up river, etc.

I would also check some Jx and Ax to protect my check range. If we think about having hand like A5s we can obviously cbet but we probably aim only for 1-2 street value. Getting raised on flop would also be awkward.

We probably want to bet range on this flop, think we are gonna bet 25% or 75% at this depth and 99 seems to most naturally fall into the 25% sizing imo.
