I really feel I played this hand exceptionally bad.

PokerStars, €0.92 + €0.08 - Hold'em No Limit - 15/30 - 9 players

UTG: 1,380 (46 bb)
UTG+1: 1,220 (41 bb)
MP (Hero): 1,460 (49 bb)
MP+1: 1,200 (40 bb)
LP: 1,955 (65 bb)
CO: 870 (29 bb)
BU: 1,925 (64 bb)
SB: 1,990 (66 bb)
BB: 1,500 (50 bb)

Pre-Flop: (45) Hero is MP with T T
2 players fold, Hero raises to 81, 1 fold, LP calls 81, CO calls 81, BTN calls 81, SB calls 66, BB calls 51

Flop: (486) 9 8 8 (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, LP checks, CO checks, BTN bets 30, SB calls 30, BB folds, Hero calls 30, LP calls 30, CO calls 30

I think this is really the point where I am confused. Do we bet this flop against 5 (!) people? In hindsight I think yes, we should, but if we get jammed on we hate our lives....
Checking and reevaluating after what happens, seemed better in the moment. We even block JT, QT, T7 kinda hands we might get to call on the flop. Smaller PP's and some random 9's might call this flop, but I don't think we ever want to play for stacks on this board 6-handed.

Turn: (636) 7 (5 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, LP bets 30, CO calls 30, BTN calls 30, SB folds, Hero calls 30
We turn an open-ender and most straights are really unlikely given we have TT. I was considering betting, but then felt that I would like to keep the pot small if possible.

River: (756) 8 (4 players)
Hero checks, LP bets 378, CO calls 378, BU folds, Hero calls 378
Again, I am lost. After a decent sized bet and a call it is really hard to find hands which our two opponents could have which we beat. Even though we get good odds I think this is a pretty clear fold after all.

I have a hard time figuring out how much tighter we have to be when there are 5 other people going to the flop. Thanks for any input!

Hard to say as I don't remember when I would have been in 6way pot :)

One option is to bet like 150 on flop and snap fold to any raise.

River is fine to fold imo. We can lose to 8x, 99 and JJ at least. Pretty rare they both have 9x or that LP would be bluffing.

I would raise like 90 pre-flop in a micro SNG. If you deal with fishy players a 4x raise isn't to bad ether.
Easy Cbet on the flop. Multi way against fishy players i would make it around 250 for value and protection.
Now you are playing s guessing game against min bets, but even as played I would consider to raise the flop like 250 for value.
Funky river, but with only a bluff catcher multi way a folsd is better, Always tough to fold a full house.

Cheers,

Thanks for your replies!

Yeah I guess the fact that I don't face many spots like this with 6 people going to the flop made it so hard to play decently.

@ghaleon Pretty hard to have a 6way pot with 5max STT's :f_cool:
