SSS works just fine for me +$53 in 5 days playing 4 tables NL10 on stars.

try and sit at tables with at most 2 other SS'ers and watch out if they re-raise you pre-flop

SSS is very very swingy, You basically just have to push and hope the cards fall in your favour.

Try playing some BSS at NL2 and see how you go?

i played only SSS for 4 months last year. I followed SSS strategy, with more adjustments as i gained more experience. I played about 50k hands.

I started $50 and played on the NL10.

I eventually moved up to NL50.

I cashed out with $1200.

Nuff Said.

by adjusments do u mean expanding the range of calling hands or what?

No, by expanding the range of raising hands ;)

Where do you play claudia? I played at Titan SSS NL10 until i got my bankroll to 14 dollars. Then i moved to BSS and and now i have 167 $ in 4 weeks. I know i don't have the bankroll to play BSS at NL10 but at titan poker is very easy to win. That's what i did maybe it will help. Bafta la mese!!

SSS is everyday less efective and is mostly an strategy designed so sites like pokerstrategy get a lot of rake because u play in higher limits than what ur bankroll really allows, also because with such a small bankroll is the only thing u can play without risking the money too fast wich also helps them get more rake.

I had in 2 weeks a stretch of 20k hands with -EV 330$ on nl25. 330$ Lost in hand where i should have won. Variance is ridiculous and the bankroll management they teach here cant really protect u when variance hits u like that...

R.....O.....F.....L.............................. I lol'd.

Why? His statement isnt that wrong. Additional, no matter that strategy of course wasnt designed to affiliates advanteges, in fact it goes in the direction that _many_ players can play with an _easy_ strategy _without_ thinking (a lot). Okay, that playing higher is crap and has nothing to do with sss. It has more potential to get players to the tables than other strategies oder other games.

And - at least basic - SSS of course is kinda crap (not meaning sss doesn't work), there is little argument against at all; except maybe things like being nobrain and forcing to patience). However most people are interestet in profit first.

Hello IonescuClaudia,

Sorry to be blunt; but if you lost your entire starting capital in 2 days of playing - you didn't play good/correct SSS and/or didn't use bankroll management.

There are hundreds & thousands of players who have successfully built their bankrolls at PartyPoker and other sites using the SSS - but you obviously didn't play on the correct limits or made fundamental mistakes in your play.

Had you not already blown your bankroll I would have suggested you to stick to the correct limits and to post your problematic hands in the forum... but since you know better there is little point in saying much more.

You can of course always use our TAF system to get a new bankroll with which you can actually stick to articles - yet a 'know it all' attitude won't get you far in poker.

Best regards
SoyCD

i got my capital yesterday and was playing SSS and in about half an hour made over $5 (not alot i know but better than a loss) getting a bit big headed decided to play how i wanted and then lost it (wont be doing that again) so switched back to SSS and after a while i got my profit and more back.

Worked for me

SSS is definitely working, but the edge is very small and so the variance can be very unpleasant.
So you have to be 1.patient 2.have enough $ to stand variance..
To be honest, with 50$ starting capital, you can go broke on NL10 with SSS thats what i think..

nosss, you register june 23 you got your starting capital?? me im waiting for 8 days :( :( can anyone help me here.. :(

i know i thought i got it pretty quick, read that alot of people had been waiting but got an email the day after i passed the quiz

nosss, what plattform you chose?? SSS works fine for you? do you follow exactly whats on the article? :f_cool: :f_cool:

i chose partypoker, and yeah SSS worked well for me, i change a few things now and then depends on the hand

SoyCD, all the hands that bringed me down were the ALL INs !.. i played at 4 tables at a time.. and all hands i went all in were listed on my paper in here... and i wend all in only when i had AK and AA .. not KK or any others strong hands. I was on 33$ last day.. and i called it a day... Yesterday.. i pullud the bankroll at 37 .. with an all in and after that.. THAT WAS IT !... all the hands were slowly sucking 2 3 $ from me... with AA and AK.. and AQ... The only thing i did wrong i think it was that i didnt moved from table to table fro a few times.. but most of the time i did that.. i just was layzy with 2 3 tables.. i think.. and i think too that 50$ is not enough for SSS ..

and BTW.. you should definitly remove the Party Poker from the top list when you we need to choose platform... because that platform is full of SSS-ers and BSS-ers...

Hello IonescuClaudia,

If you weren't going all-in with hands like KK or QQ you were probably leaving money lying around since those hands are stronger than AK are ... judging from what you are saying you still have a lot of leaks - and not leaving table due to 'being lazy' is also asking for losing money. Poker is a game of small edges - once you start being 'lazy' and thus destroy those edges - you start losing money.

As for PartyPoker, of course it will be full of SSS and BSS players - as those are the two types of general playing styles that everyone will fall into. I have played at PartyPoker myself and never had problems making money with SSS.

Had a 10 BI down swing last night. Hurts like hell. But its the nature of SSS.
