PokerStars, €0.90 + €0.10 - Hold'em No Limit - 10/20 - 9 players
Replay this hand on Upswing Poker

UTG: 1,300 (65 bb)
UTG+1 (Hero): 1,500 (75 bb)
MP: 1,460 (73 bb)
MP+1: 2,280 (114 bb)
LP: 1,460 (73 bb) 21/10 over 2,7k hands
CO: 1,280 (64 bb)
BU: 1,420 (71 bb) 50/20 over 29 hands
SB: 1,300 (65 bb)
BB: 1,500 (75 bb)

Pre-Flop: (30) Hero is UTG+1 with K J
1 fold, Hero raises to 57, 2 players fold, LP 3-bets to 140, 1 fold, BTN calls 140, 2 players fold, Hero ?

I was tempted to call here because our hand plays decent multiway and BTN is a fish. But LP is a regular who seems really solid/nitty. His range might be as tight as QQ+ and AK and we are OOP. So I think this is a fold, even though we just need 18,4% equity. We have around 20% equity given these the following ranges and won't realize nearly as much OOP:
LP QQ+,AKs,AKo
BTN: JJ-88,AQs-ATs,KTs+,QTs+,AQo-AJo,KQo

I guess we rather want to call hands like 88 or maybe ATs. Is that correct?

Hi DaMaryJoanna,
Disclaimer: I am NOT a coach!
If a decent reg is raising over UTG+1, then I'll want something better to play with, esp OOP
I'm really curious to see what the real SnG experts think there though, because this is a very common situation.

What is your own table image like?

Best of luck :gl:,

Have to call with those pot odds and deep stacks. Just be careful with top pair type hits to not overplay if tight reg is barreling.
