What do you think about calling here it feels like villain would bet AA-QQ Qx ott for value/protection and bet fd's as well and river possibly checks back 99 TT JJ for showdown ? or is folding the better option.
cheers in advance.

A lot of A♦: hands might play this way, but I might be more inclined to bet the turn instead of trying to bluff catch the river.
It feels like I lose too many of these to crap like A4 or eve 74 hands
With his bet size you need to be right too often I think.

Betting for thin value and protection would be a good idea I think. Now everything what you could beat arrived on the river. Any 4 is a straght and he could have a flush as well. Without any info I would fold for sure.

Are you calling preflop to set mine in mind?

88 isn't a pure set mine there's plenty of flops to continue on but it's the bottom of the calling range and id fold vs a tighter player.

I would set mine vs a tight player, cause having more chances he will pay me off with his KK/AA. Would prefer IP and for a smaller OR sizing. 100bb deep isn't the best either.

Call me crazy, but what do you think of 4 bet bluffing this spot, cause I would not choose it for set mine and due to my lack of experience cant see too many good flops he is not folding to our bets?

I don't really like 4betting 88 as a bluff id much rather 4bet bluff hands like AQo AJs ATs KQs oop from mp

Something like the following is about the minimum defence frequency vs a 9x 3bet from mp opening around 20%.Giving you the minimum defence frequency of 28% if you add 99 to calls it gives you 30% defence and adding 88 gives you 32% defence frequency.I think it's reasonable oop of course ip you can maybe speculate more and add some suited connectors and smaller pairs. My ranges do need some tweaking though it's something i'm going to be going over in the next few weeks.

The down side to that is the reverse implied odds are higher because of set over set and it means your hand is a pure set mine as you cant continue without a set.As i say this 88 isn't a pure set mine here as i can continue on lots of flops as someone 3betting wider has more AK AQ KQs KJs QJs TJs A2s-A5s rather than just big pairs to try and set mins vs.

MPvs3betOOP

Interesting, mine defending ranges seem much tighter, I am following Weasel advise.

Is you postflop plan then, to float a lot or see showdown cheaply? You will need to protect your hand quite often I guess.

I can attack flop checks by betting some turns and ye floating a fair bit and trying for showdown where possible. And that's probably a very good place for you to start and base your game from.

the latter, as you have SDV.
