What is a skimming technique?
Does that mean just rat-holing when you reach a certain stack size?
What size?

Best of luck :gl:,

Hello Vorpal,

Thanks for dropping by :f_thumbsup:
Currently decided to play on Runitonce as I am trying to get a free copy of HM3 with the promo they are running. I am a sucker for promos :f_biggrin:
Also decided to try and find a room that was purely for cash players without all the distractions. When I first started playing FR back in the day, I had 200 buy ins and applying the Pokerstrategy starting hand chart along with post flop play for the beginners really helped me climb the stakes. This time around I am starting with a very very low bankroll, meaning that I can only play the cream of the crop of hands PF, tightening the starting hand range even more and cutting out a lot of set mining until I reach a more substantial bankroll, where I can then introduce more of the cut starting hands. A little bit like an elimination diet in some ways :f_biggrin: This technique has helped me in the past and again today it is helping me confidently and slowly build my bankroll.

I did in my last attempt a few years ago try tank rolling which worked for a little bit before hitting a bad run and busting out again. Hopefully this little refinement will enable me to float my way up the stakes :f_drink:

So far my progress is good, although not a great +EV from starting, I am now at €55 and have achieved the next step in the rewards ladder, gaining diamond status.

Hopefully this trend will continue for a good while :f_drink:

Gloomy start to the week. Not much in the way of play. So I am down slightly as I mainly played and paid the rake this week.
Out of the sessions I had a few good hands. And some really horrid all ins.

Well I decided to have a quick look at the lobby on each room and see if there was a game worth playing before getting back on with my studies. By the looks of it, Pokerstars has just the game for me! The New Year's Bash 17-L $11 with a $2M gtd. Now al I have to do is ship this and all my deficient bankroll problems are all over :f_thumbsup:

As for the University grind, it is still taking up more time than I can afford to balance with poker. It seems all I have been doing for the last few years is reading every book I have been given plus more! I do need to buy a bookshelf pronto, as it seems many people on TV are doing right now!
So, to summarise, I have not had any time for poker or much else beside the business, which has started to take off at last! Hopefully, this summer I shall be able to put a nice amount of time into poker and get back into the game.
But for now I wish everyone a happy new year and good health for 2021 :f_thumbsup:

Hey metalmonkey, im glad to see your still around, i did quit poker, however in this lockdow ive decided to return, ive started a new blog, it would be nice if you followed me. My main aim is to play HU, there isn't that many players playing HU at low stakes on the site im on, so i have to play 6max while i wait, i read your post earlier about 10 buy in i think thats a good idea i was thinking about the tankroll banroll challenge myslf since many people are going to be playing poker drunk and more begginers will rejoin through boredom as were going through these rough tiimes.
