Let's GO!

As I mentioned elsewhere, I ̶c̶o̶m̶p̶l̶a̶i̶n̶e̶d̶ gave feedback to PokerStars about the lack of draw and stud games -- and when I looked -- there they were as "side events" with low guarantees, but props to them for listening

So I made up a list of games to play -- this will be tough, since some start as early as 04:34 local, and some as late as 21:30 local.
I'll stream any game I play -- link in sig

Hey Vorpal,

thanks for posting this! I haven't seen any Badugi in the last tournament series' so I didn't even check this time. I hope I will find time tomorrow!

Best of luck to you - maybe we see each other at the Badugi FT.

All the best!

I'll update the previous post with results as the happen.
Today I just couldn't get out of bed at 04:00 so I missed the stud hi/lo

I fired two bullets at the Badugi, but busted out when my pat 9 ran into a well-drawn perfect 4-Badugi

Looks like some tournaments had some overlay, but not to crazy.
Maybe the main event of tommorow wil get a decent overlay.
Could be a interesting tournament to play, but it will be a decent mine field.

Busted out of the $1.10 Razz about 30 places short of the money -- I had a hand that was just too good to fold, but lost on 7th street to an aggro player.
So it goes.

This hand kept me in it avoiding a much earlier bustout
Feral Cow Poker Hand Converter
PokerStars Limit Razz ($2.94+$0.36) t1500/t3000 ante t300 - 8 players

Seat 1: t32,880 [X] [X] T♥:8♥:2♣:3♦:

Seat 4: t11,050 [A♦: ] [7♦: ] 2♠:6♠:9♠:9♣: [Q♣: ]

Seat 7: t10,480 [X] [X] T♠:
Seat 8: t10,720 [X] [X] 4♥:

3rd Street: (t2,400) (8 players)
Seat 6 brings, 2 folds, Seat 1 calls t450, Seat 2 folds, Hero calls t450, Seat 4 raises to t1500, 2 folds, Seat 1 calls t1050, Hero calls t1050

4th Street: (t6,900) (3 players)
Hero checks, Seat 4 bets t1500, Seat 1 calls t1500, Hero calls t1500

5th Street: (t11,400) (3 players)
Hero checks, Seat 4 bets t3000, Seat 1 calls t3000, Hero raises to t6000, Seat 4 raises to t7750 and is all-in, Seat 1 folds, Hero calls t1750

River: (t29,900) (2 players)

Hero showed, Lo: 6,5,4,2,A

I had very few good hands, seeing 4th street only 16% of the time -- 20% is much more normal for this game.

This gave me a stack I could work with so I could put some pressure on other players.
Otherwise, I was pretty much hooped

It wasn't decent, but still a over lay of $12.260. Off course PokerStars can easy pay the overlay with the rake everyone has paid.

Makes NO sense, where is the time that every tournament hit 2x gtd :P

The guarantees may have been lower.
Also, the Micromillions had a lot of tournaments at awkward times.

oh yeah -- I bust out of the HORSE well shy of the money, going for 3 streets of value in Limit Holdem with two pair on a board with a made flush.

Are you getting paid by stars or sth? :f_tongue:
Point nr 2 had nothing to do with the main event and the 2017 MM main (for example) had a 1M gtd with 22$ BI (and pretty sure it didn't have 5 re entries possible) and it got smashed by 700k.

Edit: come to think of it, there is an argument to why this main didn't reach gtd.. This time it was a marathon, all events pushed into 4 days, lacking opportunities to run satellites for the main..

Could be a reason indeed, but they have changed the VIP system, rake on the micro tournaments and the software the last couple of years. The MTT's like the Sunday Million and Sunday Storm aren't so popular as a few years ago. Sunday Warm-up has only 80k garantueed on the moment and if I'm right it was at least $500k guaranteed a while ago.

For SNG's the traffic decreased a lot as well. I expect on ring games it's the same.

There are so many reasons PokerStars is losing players.

The limit 5-Card Draw tables used to have minimum 5 or 6 tables at FL $0.10/$0.20
Right now there's 3.

The VIP system has hurt, splitting the player pool has hurt, and competition from GGPoker has hurt.

The world changes, and all the complaints in the world won't stop it from changing

That's true for sure, but if most members don't like the changes it hurt PokerStars more and than was GG Poker not a serious competitior most likely. 2 years ago I never heard about GG Poker.
