Hi,

can't get converter to work for omaha (says "hand history type not recognized" or w/e). Anyway, posted it here: http://www.pokerhand.org/?4487648 and written down here.

I'm kinda "new" to PLO btw, anyway:
1. thoughts on call preflop... is this std?
2. i've had some discussion with other players (most have a background of NLHE and do not play PLO that often) who almost all said turn is an easy c/f... however I think a bet might not be _that_ bad. Am I wrong in that assumption? Also, if lenzmonkey shoves when we bet, do we have to call (about 25-30% equity needed depending on turnbet)? Aka do we see enough other draws or 3xxx here to make it profitable to b/c against the midstacked player.

Hi

the http://weaktight.com/ converter works fine with omaha hands.

1. yep, standard.
2. easy c/f : it's a multiway pot. the board is paired making your draws to two pair , flush and straight really weak also your TP is basicly trash. also getting called and play a river OOP in a bigger pot is not so nice.

about calling his shove, I guess you get enough equity. trips are not likely but still possible , big FDs , T+bigcards, slowplayed FH, overpairs probably (a simulation having one 3 dead )

but really, why putting around 50bb against the midstack. not a good situation and you can't forget about the other guy when betting anyway

I actually thought a bet had some merit because the 3bettor's range is mostly KKxx+ and he barely has 88xx in his range or 83xx so I'm never drawing that bad against him... I also don't see him call a lot because of his mentioned range. The midstacker well, hard to give him some sort of range but there are only 4 possible holdings of hands which have me drawing dead. This, plus the fact that the pot was big enough made me figure that it was worth a stab.

Anyway, let's assume we are IP and both players check turn again... does a bet become plausible then or do we still check behind and c/c any straight/flushgiving/T river?

IP I agree with you about a stab, after they checked twice the chance someone has something strong is low. you can't represent much after checking the flop IP but I don't think they care anyway at plo25. Also your draws are likely not going to get you any money when hitting them so I don't see much problem when you turn your hand into a bluff

I am betting max on the flop and turn.I higly doubt someone would slow play this flop with 3.
