What is an overlay?
An overlay is the gap between the guaranteed prize pool and the actual prize pool generated by entrants (buy-ins). The difference is made up by the tournament host. For example, the GGMasters Overlay Edition has a $5,000,000 guarantee. If 10,000 players sign up, the buy-ins of $150 each will generate $1,500,000 in prize pool money resulting in s $3,500,000 overlay which will be contributed by the tournament host.
What is a Freezeout tournament?
A freezeout tournament format does not offer players the opportunity to re-enter once eliminated.
Can I join more than one Day 1 Flight for the GGMasters Overlay Edition?
No. The GGMasters series is a Freezeout Tournament which means that each player is only allowed ONE entry.
Can I unregister if I have won a seat from a satellite?
As you will be automatically registered if you have won a seat from a satellite, there is no option to unregister.
