I'm not to familiar with 6+ Hold'em, but I would normally fold or raise first in.

It's also good to know what you're own though process was during the hand.

As played I would call the turn with trips and her-evaluate the river. The MP+1 player isn't much a factor with in mind he/she can only call or fold.

Cheers,

One of the more astonishing aspects of short-deck hold'em is the amount of limping that goes on.
Do you mean re-evaluate?
If so, that is exactly what I did do, but I called a river bet, to see KK in opponent's hand

I think the main mistake I made was not betting the flop.

Is limping based on solid strategy or is that just something that happens a lot? I see ton of limping in my plo games but I would not recommend it as good approach :)

If I remember right trips beat straight in this format? If so QT is irrelevant and that probably wouldnt try to value raise turn. So we are mainly behind of AA, KK, AJ. I would think KJ or QJ would often bet flop. Do we expect any weaker hand to value raise turn? I think this is very bad spot for CO to be bluffing as MP is almost allin. So feels like we are running into AA, AJ or KK huge amount and turn fold could be best.

This is from someone who has never played this format and is not sure about rules

Do you mean re-evaluate? I guess so

I guess you need to think if you want to make decisions in life.

The  and the 🀣 were supposed to indicate that I was kidding.
In actuality, I wasn't sure what to do, which after all is the whole point of posting hands here.
So my entire thought process was "Do I raise this, check/call or check/raise"

According to all of the articles I've read, due to the closeness of the equities, and since suited connected hands increase so much in value, this hand would have been solidly in a playable range. From UTG advice from other sites β€” and from bloggers here β€” advocates for limping your entire range from UTG

PF J9s is always an openlimp. Calling the raise PF is no mistake but not standard. Normally we only overcall multiway because this reduces the chances of a shove.

F we need to bet to protect our equity. It seems a strong hand but a lot of turns do hurt us when F is checked around. Also all the Ax hands will call a bet but will check behind when checked to. Cbet around 70%pot. If someone raises you can let it go. When called bet (most) turn(s).

River as played is really easy fold, this a hand that has to go in your ch/call range. But when you ch and MP bets, I would only call when CO folds. If CO overcalls you're dead.

Also you are very deep. This game is so hard when your deep I would suggest leave when you reach 200a (and obv someone else on the table has also 200a+).

In short deck the first positions when to raise is HJ. In UTG, UTG1 and MP our entire range needs to be openlimped. It also a consequence of the ante structure combined with the closeness of equity between hands. The difference between openlimpeing and openraiseing 3 or 4a UTG is very small.

Thanks, Fredjen...
Checking the flop was intended to be a check/raise.
I'm still not used to donking...
