I already plugged this hand into my solver so I kind of know what I did wrong.

I just wanna hear some input, if you have any.

GG Poker - $0.25 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 100 BB
SB: 289.32 BB
BB: 187 BB
UTG: 102.68 BB
MP: 100 BB
Hero (CO): 100.4 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J♣ A♣

UTG raises to 2.52 BB, fold, Hero raises to 7.56 BB, fold, fold, fold, UTG raises to 24.08 BB, Hero calls 16.52 BB

Flop: (49.56 BB, 2 players) 9♣ 3♦ 7♣
UTG bets 15 BB, Hero ? ?

Thoughts?

Edit: typo

I would for l fold pre vs unknow and call AQs and Jacks. As played I would stick it in on the Flop. Flip vs almost any overpair and once in a while he got a worse flush draw.

But interested what the solver said about this.

Solver prefers we 3bet AJs preflop 89%, and call the 4bet 100%, solver prefers flatting the flop cbet in position.

I did shove like you, the opponent snap folded, GGP rabbit hunt shows King of Clubs on turn, say if the opponent had any AK then he is supposed to call the shove solver says.

But imagine if we flatted and he did have AK, he goes broke for certain, I think that's one of the reasons we flat it in position.

I like the 3bet but i would fold to the 4bet as well i know solvers like calling but your playing micros where people aren't playingclose to GTO ranges Vs you . So an UTG 4bet range is likely extremely strong and not containing anywhere near the amount of semi bluffs you need to continue with AJs.

That's true. There is an unpredictable element in people's behaviors that cannot be quantitated by algorithm. Some that play the game are maniacs, drunks, and gambling addicts.

Like, recreational players are not gonna know that they are supposed to call off the shove on flop with AK high on UTG vs CO.

Honestly I wouldnt call off the shove either. Don't think many would on NL25. Why should they? Whats the worst hand most people shove here? TT perhaps.

Any info on the villain in this hand would be nice as well. I prefer to just call pre-flop against a UTG open. Not sure why you need to change AJs in to a bluff against a unknown and hand played decent post-flop. Now you need to fold against a 4bet I think.

Cheers,

I struggle to see it being to profitable calling 4bets with AJs in the micros especially vs UTG and MP.

+1
This is a fold pre. You shouldn't rely on solvers to play at the micros. They give optimal plays based on optimal opponents. Lower limits are imbalanced and exploitable. That's why we can fold AJs to exploit the player pools tendency to 4b very tight.

All that said, AJs can be a call vs a smaller sizing. But villain sizes up here so i would definitely fold.

As played, i would call postflop :f_biggrin:

Same here - fold to 4B preflop in cca 50% / 50% call. In this situation shove flop - we push opponent to fold Hand what are not big pairs, but opponent couldnot hold big 2 glubs like KcQc. He could hold hand like AA, KK, AKs + maybe some bluff 4B hands.

I think with high rake and huge 4bet(more than 3x) this hand is more fold than call preflop. As for postflop - I would shove just like you did - we fold AQ/AK which is great result in itself and prevent villain from shoving turn and making difficult spot for us on turn.
