How Should This be Played?

Unknown opponent (40/12 over only 25 hands). The game is an 888 freeroll — but one of the more "sensible" ones.

At this point were about 700 off the money, I'm sitting 800th of 1600 left

Pacific Poker - 150/300 Ante 30 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: 9,275
UTG: 6,172
UTG+1: 4,604
MP: 7,500
Hero (MP+1): 5,150
MP+2: 2,243
CO: 2,123
BTN: 2,492
SB: 8,586

9 players post ante of 30, SB posts SB 150, BB posts BB 300

Pre Flop: (pot: 720) Hero has Q♠:Q♣:

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 1,200, fold, fold, fold, fold, BB calls 900

Flop: (2,820, 2 players) K♠:2♠:6♣:
BB bets 300, Hero calls 300

Turn: (3,420, 2 players) T♣:
BB checks, Hero checks

River: (3,420, 2 players) 4♣:
BB bets 300, Hero calls 300

I'm not folding to a 1BB bet — but should I have raised this river, or at any point beforehand?

I would consider to bet the turn for thin value and protection. Around 1.200 is big enough with the stack dynamic. Offcourse if villain shoves you need to fold.

Cheers,

In freerolls, trapping and bizarre bluffing are possibilities.
I did consider a small bet, but decided to check — the Queens were good — opponent had Ace-rag.
I also considered a blocker bet when the flush completed, but that would leave my stack so small I would have been unable to get ITM in case I went card-dead

That's true indeed. I don't think raising river accomplish much after villains min bet.

I would bet 1200 on turn card. Villain definitively had nothing, or he would push up to protect his paired King, if it existed.
