Hi all, I have heard in a video (but now can't find that video) that as PFR you should only bet small when the flop is monotone. I have checked a solver and this agrees and prefers the small bet. Please could someone explain why this is the case?
Thanks for any advice :)

On a board like that you're hand needs less protection than on a wet board with straight and/or flush potential.

You could also give some example hands. That makes it easier to explain I think.

but it is a monotone board, so there is a lot of flush potential... i dont get the argument... You should definitely decrease your cbeting, specially when you think you are behind in a mono board - but that's from a more exploitable game perspective, not GTO perspective
