Villain was aggro, 3 betting all the time, calling all the time, donking a lot. Can we bet the turn? Can we go for thin value on this river?

GG Poker - $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

CO: $0.59 (29.5 bb)
BTN: $2.00 (100 bb)
SB: $3.28 (164 bb)
Hero (BB): $3.17 (158.5 bb)
UTG: $0.93 (46.5 bb)

SB posts $0.01, Hero posts BB $0.02

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.03) Hero has Q♥: 9♥:
2 folds, BTN raises to $0.04, SB calls $0.03, Hero calls $0.02

Flop: ($0.12, 3 players) Q♠: 9♦: 8♠:
SB bets $0.08, Hero calls $0.08, fold

Turn: ($0.28, 2 players) 5♠:
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($0.28, 2 players) A♥:
SB checks, Hero?

Turn I would go for value with 2 pair. Especially if villian likes to call a lot. River is a easy value bet I think. Tough to expect villain will check 2 times with a straight or flush.

I think we hardly can represent an Ax hand on river as we would most likely Squeeze with them preflop...

P.S. Can we raise flop?

Could be for sure with top 2 pair. Off course if villain 3bets you are in a tricky spot on the flop.

Hello,

Before his check on the turn I prefer to bet, for protection and value of hands like TP+FD, TP+gustshot, TT, JJ, OC+FD that maybe he plays it passive. I think that it is the street where you are going to get more value from the doubles because it is where you will pay the most.
And we can get to play chbh river depending on the card that comes out.
