Top pair K kicker - bet or check river?

Villain was passive. Range I gave him was 77, 99, TT and some flush and sd combos, as well as some traps, like 88, QQ, KK, AA. Bet or check river?

I would go for a thin value bet of around 40c and fold to a shove against a passive villain.
I expect if villain shoves you are always beat.

I played checkbehind in this situation anno, because I wanted to see Villain's cards for telemetrian data$... (database) :f_thumbsup:

That's not a good reason to check I think. You want to attract so much value as you can. Offcourse in this scenario villain would most likely fold AK on a bet.

In no-limit hold'em getting the data for one hand isn't worth the money you sacrifice by not getting value. On the other hand, checking behind here might be worthwhile to take notes, or to avoid sets, A5 etc — but those hands are unlikely, since UTG would have (or should have) played them more aggressively
