Villain has been opening quite a bit, ATS was over 55%, I've been 3 betting him/her a lot and V has been folding. Should I fast play in this spot, don't want to give the SB odds to draw (or do I?). Villains bet looks like value/protection or maybe draw. TT+ AsJs+, I could also be running into a set.

GG Poker - $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

UTG: $2.10 (105 bb)
MP: $2.09 (104.5 bb)
CO: $2.19 (109.5 bb)
Hero (BTN): $2.38 (119 bb)
SB: $2.07 (103.5 bb)
BB: $2.22 (111 bb)

SB posts $0.01, BB posts $0.02

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.03) Hero has 7♦: 9♦:
2 folds, CO raises to $0.06, Hero calls $0.06, SB calls $0.05, fold

Flop: ($0.20, 3 players) 9♠: 5♣: 7♠:
SB checks, CO bets $0.15, Hero?

Seems like a decent spot for a raise to get it in for value and protection with 2 blockers for a set on the flop. 3x seems big enough.

In 3way actions I raise on flop, every spade, 6 or 8 isn't good here where comes on turn/river. I don't think that somebody has here 86, we lose vs 5 combos set, we are ahead vs overpairs, flush draws.

3bet preflop seems decent option. You have good fold equity. By flat calling you risk squeeze out of sb or bb or multiway pot. Your hand doesnt play well multiway pots. As played i would raise such a draw heavy flop vs two opponents.

Not sure people are squeeze happy on NL2 pre-flop out of position. On higher limits this will happen more often I think.

Yeah. That's right. Probably we wont face a squeeze that often. Still, we risk multiway pot. 97s doesnt play well multiway pots. Very low nut potential. We'll hit a pair most of the time, rarely top pair, witch could be dominated. And if not it will be hard to extract two or three streets of value. Fold or 3bet seems the best options. If V fold often enough, 3bet is reasonable

I do not mind playing multiway in position with this hand, so the 3b cause we are afraid of a squeeze is not so good for me.
As played, I will raise this flop.

Cut the crap please! This is not a good hand for defence against CO and doesnt play well multiway pots even in position. Unless we have a good reason to gamble (CO is fish) we should either fold or 3bet. And ofcourse we are afraid of squeeze here. We might not be squeezed often enough because it's nl2 but why we should risk it?

Also we dont want this kind of moves to become a habit. Habits are hard to eradicate!

When we enter a hand we want to be with either open raise or 3bet most of the time. We flat rarely, with reason. And you dont say any reason of why we should flat this hand.

If someone does not know how to defend with this hand - this another question. :)
If your style is more 3 betting - this is another question.

I looked at my database and in this spot with a call i am making 3 digit profit...

Maybe it is time for Napoleon to head for his Saint Helena... :)

Result-oriented thinking. Even if you make 10 digit profit it's a bad defend. This is crappy hand to be played.

If someone does not know how to defend with this hand

This is pretty much you. More important is not "how" to defend but what to defend. You obviously dont have any idea.
