Someone actually recommended this book to me before. Reviews didn't seem overwhelming positive but since you are the second person recommending it I might give it a try. There is a copy on sale too.
Short session today was good with almost €1 profit. I played like a high level pro (at least that's how it felt). I remember in 2008 you didn't even need to know what a 3bet was until like 50nl. You just flopped a set, stacked somebody, and repeat. Now you go sit at a $5 table and if you're not careful to game select then you find yourself sitting there with 5 19/17 regs sitting around waiting to cooler each other for the price of a fucking cheeseburger.

I want you to read it more to see what else you get out of poker besides the money. Money isn't the only reward, and she talks about that a lot. Enjoy
Oh sure if money was the only reason why I play I've made a terrible career choice
But I like a good read so thanks for the tip!
I'll say it again there is just almost no more fish anymore
You are completely delusional. On the micro stakes are only fishes. Especially on nl2. You dont know what a shark is. Nobody here does. If they were solid sharks they wouldnt've play nl2 at all. Ivey is a shark, Dwan, Negreanu. These are the real sharks.
And if you dont spot any suckers around you this means that you are the sucker. You wont change this with whining
@Napoleon I think that you have a lot of meaningful things to say and it truly feels like you know what you are talking about, sometimes a bit harsh but ok, that just might be your style.
However just out of curiosity... what are the limits you usually play at?
And as for your previous comment. I think everyone needs to agree with what you say, because sharks will obviously play at higher limits. But what I think FriskyArt wants to say is that the level of the micros has increased over the years. I've also played 15 years ago and only just restarted and you can't ignore that the field has become smaller and a bit harder compared to 15 years ago (obviously this doesn't mean they are sharks)

High stakes play moooney ![]()
From what I've found, learning to control your temper at the micros is the number one thing that will change you win rate, my session today is a perfect example of that, brought some real-world problems with me to the tables and I didn't think through a single spot, just clicked buttons and called down, gg, fish win.
The regs that are there are all bad (I include myself in this) and I mean really bad. I see them making the same mistakes I am trying to correct.
I have the feeling that this blog has more become a spot for people trolling the owner

I dont see change. Sucker will be sucker no matter what.
Please stop trolling. It is obvious that online poker has become much harder. Micros are of course still beatable but there is no reason to troll OP

For you! Not for me. This doesnt makes me a troll.
If you struggle to find an edge that's your problem. If you are lazy to create one it's your problem. And if by much harder you mean that there is not enough drunk whales that spew and splash money around yeah it's "much harder". Such a whales emerge rarely 15 years ago and nowadays as well.
All in all online poker is harder than live. That's a fact. But we are talking about nl2, about the microstakes, not about mid or high stakes
P.S. After all even the worse player in the world will learn something after 100k of hands that reduce his potential losses. Still, "much harder" is quite exaggerated for me.
I see that you guys struggle to win because online poker is much harder not because you play badly... Cmon please...:f_zZz:
Here's what Napoleon said about 98s, this is from my PokerCraft on GGP, it's been staring me in the face every time I log on to get hands but never pay any attention to it.

Played very solid pretty much break even. Main issue remains just tables full of nits. Very little action on the tables. One day I tilt throwing away a few stacks and that's why my result is negative. Yellow line went up to around zero so I was definitely running bad too.
