PLO50 AJ65ds small river stab in checked down pot?

That reminds me of the old saying for No Limit - if everyone has a weak range, the one who bets first will win.
However, in this case the weak ranges also make a straight, so... no idea. It is virtually impossible that none of them has a straight to call such a small bet with.
Also people are scared to bet smaller flushes. So, i'd just give up here

I have basically the same approach with 2 bet sizings (the smaller one being capped) on checked to rivers also when HU. Like in NLHE we have to be kinda more aggressive than optimum with stabs/steals once it´s obvious nobody has real interest in the pot. Many players are not willing to invest lots of brain power fighting for those smallish pots. It´s a good boost to our winrate if we manage to steal some orphan pots from time to time.

Another thing is, lockdown board textures look so scary and people either skip studies on such board because they occure less often on the other hand some people are somewhat afraid to feel embarassed calling weaker hands losing in showdowns against ranges that are perceived to be very polarized and superior despite the odds for a call were fair enough so at least among multi-tabling regulars I think there is a tendency to overfold. Solver calls quite some hands weaker than flush for a single bet whereas against some players I´ve never seen worse than K or Q flush some there has to be some deviation going on.

Yeah both villain can have weaker flushes but chance for that is quite small with all the checking. My hand has very little showdown value and three cards making medium strength hands(straight, set, two pair) less likely so it's not like I would stab here with all the air.

I would not be surprised if solver finds calls with plain top pairs in this spot with some flush or straight blockers but pool usually won't. Plus bluff raises especially 3way are rare.

Yes when checked all along the chance of someone having a flush at all is indeed is highly reduced, also reduced by the 4th ♥ on the board. If we´d have a flush blocker too this is pretty strong actually from a combinatoris view but still often very bad in terms of range vs range when facing aggression ourself since other players are so condensed otr.

Stabbing with all air is indeed not a good idea, that´s be quite out of line with our air portion, so you gotta have to be creative indeed which blockers u wanna use. And maybe get a grip on, how much of your range is impacted by your selection.

Solver plays highly positional dependant in such spots while player pool does not, but a wild guess would be that bottom line is to check-call in the region around 2pair/overpair+flush blocker when heads-up, while betting is pretty random. As a main strategy concept I´d say, we should not become discouraged when our bluff gets called from time to time, if we manage it to get into a solid bluff/value dynamics where we play around a little with bluffs occasionally and start increase our bluffs if villain does not defend enough, we should make profits here, especially nits and abc-tags lose interest quickly in evaluating a strategy and appropriate counter-strategy for the sake of just a couple of bb´s. If there is a 50/20 fishy type of player involved I´d rather refrain from a steal.

dislike the play. i'd probably just never bluff in this spot, even with a good heart blocker.
