This villain is a lag.

Thoughts?

I can understand c/c/c there against EP but vs BU you have to raise on flop or turn.

No check raise here is bad only if you sometime do that as bluff...Fine for me...But not the call pre, it is a fold in my book..

call pre is fine, I am c/r the turn.. to about 26bb, then I am jamming away on river.

2nd han di think is fine- but first hand you need to find a way to get more chips in pot, if he set over sets you so be it..

I thought that this is either the nuts, like QT, or air. That's why I didn't CR.

I would probably decide to x/r turn or river. Don't like 3 times x/c I think we don’t get the max value here. There are no completed draws and you want max value from the QQ+ range.

In a general strategy, sure.

But of course in the end everything may be villain depended. Especially if he is a tight nit.

"LAG" he said....Vs Lag on the BU you should think more for slow play. He have a wide range and he expect from you to raise if you have strong hand. When he don't have a hand or he dont like the hand, he will think at any street, "what this nit have, what he will fold". Or if he hit something (TP) OTT and OTR, he can make huge bet for thin value, even with a second pair, because he is sure what you have. They are very arrogant, the LAGs...And I think if we will check raise with set vs such a guys, must be OTR. But here...He have wide range, thin value, monster range and bluffs. The question is what he will call? Do we can represent missed draw? Ofc we dont have that, but he can think we do...And how many combos from his calling range we beat. He still can fold two pairs, if he thinks no bluffs possible...Big bets are mainly polarized..And check raise vs big bets, when we have small set, its not always very clear...He saw us earlier with this line...Not so clear check raise...

I mean..short story..If he can fold here hand like 98, because no obv bluffs from us, wtf we are doing with check shove OTR? And on the river must be the raise imo...if there is a raise..shove also, must be check shove...
And thats why I think the call preflop is bad. I will call only vs calling station. They raise with good hands and they can't fold after. They don't think..They are looking only at their hands...
