Villain is a 30/20/5 weak-reg with low betting frequencies postflop. Afaik solver is mixing in this spot but generally very careful with value-bets laying focus on small bets and balanced lines in situations like this since quads are not that uncommon. I am wondering if this is not a value-shove more often than a check-call?

I wouldnt really be worried about quads, 3s are quite rare cold-calling range preflop (for a decent player). And even if he has some random 3 he could be mostly betting that on the flop 3ways when you check.

But what they do obviously have more often are TT/JJ which they'll have a lot more than you. So the question is does he level himself calling with KK/QQ or do you run more often to those hands instead.

Maybe you could just bet smaller and decide against shove. It is quite tempting spot for him to bluff then, but some people just dont pull of big moves like that in such situation.

So I would decide what to do player dependedly mostly, and what kind of image youself have. If they're gonna call down with KK/QQ, they will have to trust you can show up with something else than AA in a squeezed pot.

Its a bad hand to squeeze . Weak AA

it's not that weak and the ev of 3bet is higher than AATT, AAJJ rb, for example. almost one bb higher than AAKT king suited.
we have suited aces, wheel cards, and the 2, 5 are pretty good "life cards" due to the card removal of the given ranges, same for the wheel.
ev of calling would be 1,4bb; raise 3,8bb. so a pretty big difference and mandatory action.

I think bluffs at least in pools I play are extremely rare in these spots. Even when it's HU pot from start. So x-c is my least favourite line. I would tend to bet 1/4-1/3 pot on flop as we unblock all overpairs and 3x is pretty rare.

As played would just shove river again for unblocking those KK and QQ. We can definitely have some KQxx as bluff here. I think it's theory wise probably more important to block overpairs than TT or JJ when bluffing though not sure.

Against many (tight) players quads is definitely a thing that should influence our bet-sizing decision.

Point that Padel was pointing out is that 3xxx is pretty rare for everyones range in this spot. Even more so if CO has solid call range. Also if CO has trips he might bet often as low trips are somewhat more vulnerable to suckouts.

Well of course theory wise CO probably shouldn't do much betting anyway as it's just so hard to have strong hand here. But even then if he bets all of his 3x+ it won't bring much betting frequency. Just thinking if CO would need to check trips for range balance reasons theory wise.

Some of ok bluff combos for CO on flop would be like T998, ATK8, 4455 if I would guess.

But yeah if board trips are higher especially broadway cards then quads are showing up more often also for our range.

I think Villain should also be afraid of the quad in this situation.

If Villain has JJTT on the TURN, ( top two pairs ) then Hero win on the RIVER with AA on tripped board. ( 333AA full house )

I think the good betsize is 1/4 Pot from Hero on the RIVER.

Quads is definitely something that plays a role. In 3 way compared with similar static boards like paired ones solver is way more careful with KK & QQ (as always also weaker fulls with lower freq.) fulls, that only makes sense because of villain potentially having quads. Against nits you cannot ramble even with AAxx full. Also flop continuing ranges 3-way are very trips-heavy. Finally ranges on turn and rivers are more value-heavy in general.

Since villain called that wetish turn I gave him draws aswell and hoped to get him bet a higher frequency as I expect some of his higher underfulls like KK and QQ maybe JJ would go for a second bet but could fold against a bet, so I decided to mix in a check-call. Theoretically that makes no sense but that is often how semi-tight weak players play. I have no straight side-cards but the A♠: is kinda bad for this.

River: (€44.00, 2 players) 3♦:
Hero checks, CO checks

Results: €44.00 pot (€1.33 rake)
Final Board: 3♥: T♠: 3♣: J♠: 3♦:

CO shows J♥: K♠: T♥: 7♦:: (Three of a Kind, Threes)
(Pre 43%, Flop 17%, Turn 10%)

Hero shows A♠: A♦: 5♥: 2♦:: (Full House, Threes full of Aces)
(Pre 57%, Flop 83%, Turn 90%)

Hero wins €42.67

Unfortunately he did not turn his pair blockers into a bluff. If he does not bluff those 2pair on paired board at all I do not like his turn call.
