I've been wondering how a similar situation would be handled in 2-7 Triple Draw. In theory, if all players at a 6-handed table insisted on drawing 5 all the time, you would quickly run out, wouldn't you?
in 2-7 the discards are re-shuffled.
I have seen discards reshuffled to continue a game, but it was so long ago, I cannot remember what game it was. It might have been crazy 8s for all I know.
Another thing about 2-7 β even including the 4 8s there are only 28 cards worth keeping.
If you're in BB and everyone in the hand ahead of you has entered the pot, there is very poor odds for keeping a 7,2 hand and drawing 3 . Even worse for the button, if everyone ahead of you has entered the pot and drawn 3 that is almost half the pool of best cards gone.
